I think Torres will rest in this game. Etoo should be the one starting and then perhaps Ba. IMO this game will be a good indicator as to whether Mourinho has any hope for Mata. If he doesn't play the full game, I think he'll be out the next time the market opens...

Brilliant player, zero brains. There is no way in hell this transfer will ever take place. For starters, Balotelli has repeatedly shown he dislikes Mourinho. Secondly, they had trouble at Inter due to Balotelli's recklessness and lack of discipline.. Actually, now that I think about it, Balotelli has found trouble in every club he's been in because of his recklessness and lack of discipline. I just can't see this happening. Fortunately for us.

Well, he plays in a league where there are only 2 top teams and 1 above-average team. I still think he is overrated when compared to world class strikers because all of this fuss around him now is too premature. While I understand why Brazil and Spain are keen to get him, I don't think he would be a big upgrade from Torres and Etoo. In the future I may change my mind but this is my opinion now. Of course when I said nobody knew him I didn't mean that literally.. What I meant was that he was a good striker. But definately not one that catched the interest of major clubs.

You and I must have seen a different game. In the game I saw, Chelsea made the strongest team of the PL look helpless in the first half. We completely dominated them and missed several opportunities that would have been a goal in any other day. In the first half, City had 1 good chance tops. Second half, they scored an early undeserved goal because of a mistake one of our players made, and got fired up for 10-15 minutes. After that, we started playing better than them again. More corners, more free kicks, more chances, better passing. Yes, the last minute goal was lucky. That doesn't mean we weren't the best team and it doesn't mean we didn't deserve the victory. Remember we played the strongest side of the PL, not some mid table team. You couldn't have asked more of the boys today.

Overrated player imo. He's had a good start this season, but lets not forget 3 months ago nobody knew who Diego Costa was. I'll wait till the end of the season to see. We've also been linked with Benzema, who is more horrible than Torres in his lowest form. I don't think we need a striker. Torres and Etoo are slowly getting into shape. But I'm not surprised Mourinho is looking for options. I mean, what if Etoo doesn't meet the expectations and Torres goes back to being unreliable in the middle of the season? We would have missed the chance to get a striker in January with so much at stake. I'm sure that's a question that is going through the manager's mind.

Bring them on! If we play them with the same heart we played City, this will be an easy game. City are the strongest team and we still dominated them for most of the game.

There's a lot of bad blood between them which comes from the times at the Spanish league. It's difficult to say which of Mancini, Guardiola and Pellegrini hates Mourinho the most lol. It's rather funny that when Mourinho used to beat Pellegrini in the Spanish league, the haters would always say it's because Pellegrini had a weaker team. I would pay to see their faces now.

We shouldn't become overconfident because of this game, but to be honest I feel for the first time in a long time the other top PL teams have more reasons to be afraid of us than we have reasons to be afaid of them.

We have a reason to be happy not just because of the 3 points but because we absolutely DOMINATED them. Especially in the first half, where they looked helpless and we could have scored 2 or 3 goals. MOTM for Torres and not Ramires because instead of letting that miss affect him, Torres kept his head up like a true warrior and won us the match with an assist and a goal.

I told you Torres will fix this.
