Ranieri's very first season I believe. I could of course be completely wrong but that's my memory for you!

What angers me the most about this season, is that this should've been so different, i had such high hopes, title winning team, it was the perfect platform to make the next step, a step similar to the one between the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 seasons, add a few players and start showing up seriously in europe, like we did between 2004-2009 and have a decent title defending season, possibly winning it again.
Instead now we're back to square 1, defence to rewrite from scratch, a midfield that need heavy injections and a very poor bench. Manager that is going to be sacked soon, sadly i might add, but let's face the facts, unless a miracle occurs, or the board and Abramovich really, really, really, really changed their approach, he isn't going to last for much longer. All of it is very much sad.
I might be cynical, but i don't see us winning against stoke and liverpool, our level right now is below them, sufficient enough to beat the likes of Aston Villa, Maccabi and Walsall. And Arsenal. But what can i say, whatever happens, i try to keep it positive, this is just one season, and as bad as it's being it's still early days, as they say, hope is the last to die.

wiefisoichiro reacted to Stats in 🇨🇮 Jeremie Boga
I know the situation is different with us and Liverpool as we have a lot more money and therefore the younger ones find it difficult to come in at the expense of the players bough whereas at Liverpool they have money but there expectations are not as high but it will be a shame to see the likes of Sterling come through their academy and thrive and be one of their most important players while the likes of Boga who has come through our academy, leave due to a lack of opportunities.
Boga is 17. Sterling broke through the Liverpool first team at 17 years of age and look where he is now. I was just looking at the chelsea youth twitter page which is brilliant and saw one of the statements being made is that it could be argued that Boga is better at 17 than Sterling was at the same age. It is a big statement but one I agree with as well. I have been following Sterling from his QPR days and because he lived very local to me and when he eventually moved to Liverpool I followed him more. He was far too good for the reserves and U18 and deserved his first team call but then Sterling relied on his pace and trickery. Boga is not as fast but his acceleration with the ball is excellent and while he thrives in the no.10 role he is also good out wide. Boga can dribble, got an eye for a pass, has tons of flair and scores some fantastic goals. Sterling is a much better all round better player now but Boga can be as good if not better but I just would hate to see him make a mark at another club because I reckon if he was given the opportunity he would thrive because I have no doubt that if Boga was at other PL teams his potential and current ability itself would be too good to ignore and he probably would be integrated into their first team already.
Such a good feeling when you see young ones who excite but it is even better if you see them make the breakthrough. IMO, the only thing that will stop Boga making it here is the club. He is good enough and will get better but the question is when he reaches an age where a first team call up is warranted will he be given it? I hope so because he is a genuine talent. He has everything and if the likes of Sterling can come through at Liverpool, there is no reason we can't do the same with Boga but I hope he keeps impressing Mourinho and hopefully he is one who makes it here.
The greatest thing is we all know how good he is but to non-Chelsea fans he is an unknown player and if he is given chances, teams/fans won't even know what has hit them.

I probably have the same opinion as many of you, I would miss him as a person, as a nice guy, but not so much as a player...

Exactly. Saying anything negative about Mourinho is like committing a crime on this forum...
At the end of the day, Mourinho is not god and everyone makes mistakes

I didn't have a go at you man. I was just putting up an opinion across to the other guy. I haven't seen your post.
I'm not sticking up for Mourinho. I was one of the guys who was completely against what happened versus Basel and a few other games. I'm not forever sticking up for him, even tho I admire him far too much to be called healthy. But in this particular situation, I defend him. Because he deserves to be defended. Put ourselves into his shoes. How many PC's has he said hypocritical things which makes him look like he suffers from severe autism just to protect his players? He doesn't deserve to be blasted for defending Hazard in the latest PC and pinpointing a flaw in him. I'm sorry, but he doesn't.
I don't think it was a total master-class or that Mourinho fucked up. 43 minutes, we were in cruise control. Then a sudden defensive lapse, and a stupid stupid penalty to give away. Not under Jose's controls. Jose made the one mistake of trying to change the game too early. Cole out, and Eto'o in IIRC. and after that we've never had the kind of balance or players in the squad to come back against a team that could dominate with a 1-3 scoreline. No team in Europe does.

Chelsea must bring in competition for OscarFollowing Juan Mata’s departure to Manchester United in January, Jose Mourinho was left with Oscar as his sole creative number 10.
But months later, oscar is far less potent than he was at the start of the season. He can't give us a soul at midfield. He can't be lampard and far away from him. I want a lampard successor in chelsea next season.
Hope jose can find the best and sell that oscar

If city wins today, i don't think the match versus liverpool will be a massive, because we know that city will win the league. -
