  1. It's not that he's not a team player, more that he's a striker that is most useful in a team that plays fast, counter-attack football. He actually is very useful for a team because he occupies more than one defender (if he's having a decent game). Seems a bit tired these days. Good for him and Everton they bought a decent player to give him some rest. The national team usually plays much too slow to make use of Lukaku. Against defensive teams, Benteke should work better. Against top teams who push the attack, Lukaku should be used.
  2. You're talking as if Hazard has the touch of a mule...
  3. He can play practically any position in midfield i guess, just not at this level yet.
  4. He's not ready for Chelsea's first team, seriously, loan him to a mid table team that suits your style. He will wither away on the bench...
  5. Dude, you have a problem. You are the embodiment of what tv shows when they're talking about knuckle-dragging, hate mongering, violent football fans. You can dislike a decision, but seriously, no one was fucked over here. Everything was played honestly. Although I still think it's not that smart in the long run, if the player truly wanted to leave to get more playing chances, than that's it. It's over. He gets to play now, Utd get a fine addition to their squad and Chelsea gets 40 million (!!) for a player they don't even use.
  6. Seaman kinda sucked as an older keeper. He only stayed in the NT because there was no one else. Schmeichel was already on the decline when he won the CL in 99 Buffon is 4 years from 40. Khan was still good but stopped at 37. Got any more? ;-)
  7. If you've been here for only two years, won everything you could except a PL title and then get benched for no apparent reason, why would you still love the club? It would have been different for him if it was his tenth year or so, but I don't see why you can't understand that.
  8. Yeah, sure. That's how it works in today's football. Why should a Spanish guy who's been here for what, 2,5 years put any club ahead of his own career? It's not that Chelsea bought him out of pity and he owes anyone anything. He was bought because he was good. And he repaid that trust with a CL and EL title. Why should he stay and fight for a place when he doesn't fit in the current system? If Abramovic tells Jose tomorrow there's no more money and Hazard, Oscar etc have to be sold, you tell me how long he'll stay. ;-)
  9. Don't you just love how people keep bringing up Van der Sar like he's somehow the norm. Cech is a guy in his thirties who has to keep wearing the helmet in your nick because he suffered a tragic injury to the head. There's absolutely no guarantee he'll keep playing until even 35. I'd be delighted for him if he could, but I don't think it's very realistic to expect it.
  10. I didn't cheer. I said I think strengthening a tired rival mid season is probably a bad idea and I don't believe there's any Rooney deal. I simply stated that Robben is limited as a player, and that he's not the world's third best winger.
  11. Ow come on. Robben is a limited player who has good days. He's not their best player by by a longshot.
  12. This is not a smart move. Especially since I believe Man Utd will never let Rooney go. A switch would have made sense. Ok, the price tag is great but you're seriously strengthening a direct rival. They won't be this sucky every season...
  13. Apparently he skipped training today. Club not happy. ;-)
  14. What's the whole fuss about Anelka anyway? It's quite clear he was (well not very cleverly) supporting his buddy, not condemning the Jewish nation to a fiery hell. As far as Lukaku goes, look: or you are a democratic country with freedom of speech, or people need to "learn to be quiet". You can't have both. People should stop whining and stop giving weight to every small thing a 20 yo kid says.
  15. Wow, different person. Looks less like the Predator now. :-(
  16. We'll see what happens, very amusing at the least.
  17. Well, he himself has openly said e would like to go to Anderlecht. That much is certain.
  18. Hehe, all the other teams are obviously outraged... Well, that's what you get for playing your entire team around a loan...
  19. My bad, he should of course also be in the list. ;-)
  20. It's simple actually Belgian Midfield: Eden Hazard: Chelsea Dries Mertens: Napoli Axel Witsel: Zenith Marouane Fellaini: Man Utd Nacer Chadli: Tottenham Moussa Dembele: Tottenham Steven Defour: Porto Radja Naingolan: Roma KDB: Chelsea (Wolfsburg) All of the above play for a better team (and are currently better, maybe except for Nainggolan who's also often not selected). Not easy to get in the squad now. Ferreira-Carrasco hasn't even been selected once, and he plays every match for Monaco. We sure can't complain about a lack of decent players...
