warnie_666 1,081
Apparently we are Adidas' biggest replica shirt sellers, ahead of Liverpool and Real Madrid. No wonder they've agreed to be tied down for 8 more years!I refuse to beleive that.........Real Madrid recovered the 80m for Ronaldo by his shirts sale within a year
Madmax 9,219
I refuse to beleive that.........Real Madrid recovered the 80m for Ronaldo by his shirts sale within a yearThe extended contract with Adidas is a recognition of how much of a money earner Chelsea is for Adidas. It has to be read with other studies that has Chelsea as the club with the 4th number of fans in the world. Of the 3 above Chelsea, only one (Madrid) is an Adidas club. However, earlier this year Adidas admitted that they were selling more Chelsea and Liverpool shirts than Madrid kit. Recent years have seen global recognition of Chelsea explode, as a cursory glance at what shirts are on display in any holiday resort this summer could reveal (or, for that matter, what knock-offs are available). We can assume that the tie-up between Chelsea and Adidas has been very beneficial for Adidas. Link
chelsea blue 615
I don't think Chelsea would release the figures really. Perhaps when they reveal their profit/loss numbers at the end of the financial year. These deals dont count at the end of the financial year only the people coming to the games and the buying and selling of players shirt deals and merchandise are not included . thats why the mancs have become the first English club to crash through the £100 million profit barrier – despite posting an £83.6m loss. Ah okay. Well yeah that makes sense, ManUtd make the most revenue in the world (I think), so their debt is not as big of an issue.
Kez 2,727
So happy about this news, I hate nike kits, love adidas glad we've stayed with them. There's only a couple of dodgy ones that they've made for us.

hunaz10 21
'SAMSUNG' is far mor better looking than 'SAMSUNG mobile'...... but I really feel that the Koreans should take into consideration of ManU's & Liverpool's sponsor figures......! Madmax 9,219
VitalChelsea reporting that we've renegotiated our Samsung deal from 11.6 mil euro to 16.3 mil euro a year. Now, 5th biggest shirt sponsorship deal in the world after Man Utd, Liverpool, Real and Bayern.
BlueLion. 21,491
The Samsung/Adidas move was an absolute masterstroke by Kenyon. The amount of revenue generated by Samsung's sponsorship, and our having one of the Big Two sports brands in Adidas, was a real coup and some excellent work by everyone's favourite ex-United scumbag.
