LDN Blue 7,903
Liberal Democrats are sell out.How dare they 'pledge' to cancel tuition fees, then agree to raise them
Rubber bullets 1,183
Liberal Democrats are sell out.How dare they 'pledge' to cancel tuition fees, then agree to raise them Well when everyone thought they would never get into parliament, they had to spew out anything to get any glimmer of support. But the only way to keep tuition fees the same is to dramaticly cut out all the crap courses. But of course everyone would complain even though a degree has now losts its value becuase of Labour's stupid idea that 50% go to University. I would prefer we go back to pre-1997 levels of University courses. Anyway you still don't have to pay upfront and the recomendations have not been confirmed yet.And last time I checked... football fans and politics don't really mix. They only got into power because the Scottish majority (who loath tories) voted for labour. I was extremely pleased to see the bnp completely fail again though. CFC58 22
I don't really vote, don't really think it matters anymore. MNC's control government nowadays imo. Its all business. Party platforms on what really effects me at ground level isn't that different from party to party so I really don't see the reason to vote. Plus I hate all the current leaders of ever party. May just vote greenparty to piss everyone off, lol.
CFC58 22
And I am a third year Political Science major.... I'm clearly studying the right thing! BlueLion. 21,491
I don't believe in the UK's political system... largely because the current government is one no-one voted for. It's funny how the third most-voted party, the Lib Dems, held the ace card and whoever they elected to form a coalition with would eventually become the next government. I don't like David Cameron at all. He says that he is middle class If he's middle class, I'd hate to see what he'd call some of the ex-mining communities in Leicestershire! LDN Blue 7,903
I had a teacher going on a rant about the pension age and how the Torries/Dems are f*cking everything up. When I asked her who she voted she simply replied "I didn't", I don't think she should complain then.. That being said, how I wish people here would recreate the French strikes. Imagine stopping the fuel supply to Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton & Stansted = Chaos!
