The house I rent in Goa is about a mile away from here (Disco Valley, Anjuna) Its a natural Ampitheatre that goes from up in the hills down to the sea. And every full moon there is a 3 day party when all the backpackers from around India/Nepal to Thailand turn up and its like this constantly.

All the local heads turn up too. Some real characters Ive known for 40 years now Its a very Om Shanti time where theres many types of mood altering substances consumed and even tho theres many very wasted peeps from all over the world the only trouble is if a group of Indian wasted males decide to jump on some very wasted female or male and assault them and if they are seen then they end up wishing they hadn't.

Theres a game we play with the local cops called hit and run. The local OB pay bribes to work in Anjuna so they can in turn bribe the tourists in any way possible. They dress like party goers with exception of they wear shiney black leather shoes so they are easy to spot and when they approach you the idea is to hit them and do a runner. They are clever and they also like jumping out on pitch black roads while you are on your motorbike or scooter and knocking you off with their truncheons. And because its normally very late at night or morning you are normally wasted and they take whatever of value you have on you - passport included which they either sell you back later or sell to a local dealer. Ive had many such run ins but only been knocked off once and they wished they hadn't!

Anyways I'm going back in a few weeks for a month and no doubt see me old mate Goa Gil. Amazing but hes the same age as me!!

Lets get Tranced!

Bauhaus to reissue 'Bela Lugosi's Dead' on Leaving Records

The nine-minute original version of "Bela Lugosi's Dead" will be pressed with three unreleased tracks from the 1979 session that launched the goth movement.

Bauhaus will reissue "Bela Lugosi's Dead" as part of The Bela Session on LA label Leaving Records

It marks the first time the nine-minute original studio recording of "Bela Lugosi's Dead" will be available digitally, as well as the classic track's first appearance on vinyl in 30 years. The band recorded the tune, which is considered the first goth record, six weeks after their formation on January 26th, 1979. The Bela Session includes five tracks in total, three of which are previously unreleased. (One of those, "Bite My Hip," was later reworked and released as "Lagartija Nick.")

Shortly after recording "Bela Lugosi's Dead" the Northampton, England band would sign with 4AD, then that label's parent company Beggars Banquet, releasing three studio albums before disbanding in 1983. The Beggars/4AD records will also be reissued to mark the band's 40th anniversary. Leaving Records, known for releasing modern New Age recordings and experimental beats, will put out The Bela Session in partnership with

Got New Orders Age of Consent with Blue Monday and a 12" demo of Blue Monday

Dj'd with some of the 2 Tone bands.and the Mod bands very late 70s early 80s but was very despondent about that whole scene as allot of the bands werem't anything at all like the image they portrayed and were just put together by record companys as marketing ploys. Had a fight with all the guys from Secret Affair off the head one night telliing them some home truths. Twats

Never liked Buster Bloodvessel. Thought he was just a prat. I like all the early Ska. All the early Blue Note, Island and Studio One label stuff. But have a very good memory of this that makes me smile.

The early Skins were OK. Before they brought the whole racial shit into it. They used to knock about with the Blacks back then. Loved each other united by the music and dress sense..

Heres a couple for Mz Vesper
