It started around 14 years ago, just a few records, by 2006, 2007 there were a few tiny club nights, then it got hot in 2008 to around 2012, and died out

No real set style, fashionwise, same amount of drugs as any other electronica I suppose

I guess style maybe would be scandi-street

for awhile some blogs and zines were calling it Scandinavian Conflict R n' B

Not a proper underground youth/pop culture if they dont have their own look, dance, drug scene etc. Without it it males it just like any other mainstream fashion.

All the best scenes were started underground and it was when they became mainstream and media controlled that they became watered down and the masses took it over.

Happened with my beloved Northern Soul scene. We had it sussed till the guys that run Wigan Casino had the $£$£ signs flashing in their eyes. Decided to cash in on it.Opened the door to let a TV crew in to make a documentary and the Sunday Papers doing a write up, They created some proper purile weak as shit POP bands like Milli Vanilli. - put them on Top of the Pops - the next week we went from 1000 at the niter to 3,000. All these gawpers and drunken twats coming looking for an all night bar. Standing round watching us dance like performing monkys, falling asleep everywhere and wondering how the fuck we carried on dancing all might. The next week a couple of 1st time kids did too much speed and called for a ambulance! Week after the old bil came in plain clothes trying to bust us all. They got jumped nicking a mate of mine. Made the papers and it brought in even more 'straights' Proving all publicity is good publicity. That week there were 5,000 in a place with a 1,000 fire limit. All the divs got in and all us soulies got left outside!! SOOO many left the scene because of that.

Was great tilll it went mainstream.

As I'm not a big Metal head Ive not heard much at all of AC/DC and thought that the Steve;nSeagulls  version of Thunderstruck was witten by them as it does suit them

But me mates just showed me this. Seen them do it too in more recent vids and it seems to have lost its original bute. Or the band has I mean

I saw them a handfull of times but I always thought it was a strange mixture.

I met Mick Talbot and thought he was a bit of a div. Someone trying to ve someone they aren't. But Rick Butler 9Drummer out of the Jam) was the same. Weller seemed to put himself in a mixture of clever peeps and ones he could control.

Really saddens me to see what Bruce Foxton (Jam Bass player and Stilff Little Fingers) has done! Hes touring this year in a band caaled Out Of The Jam!! Doing all their old stuff.  Going to be a train wreck. Hes down here in London April/may time and theyre doing an accoustic set so might take a look for a laugh.

Was just listening to the Ian Dury vid I prompted FB to post and it reminded me of seeing him at Mammersmith Palais and John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett was support.

Theyre a right pair of loonies I tell ya. Rollin round the stage doing crowd surfing. Always thought they were off their heads

Sounds bit poppy now eh.

Been in this sort of mindframe for a few days.
