Term-X 7,891
CLUB STATEMENT ON FINANCE Posted on: Wed 19 May 2010 Chelsea Football Club has released a statement today (Wednesday) following media stories on club finance. The statement reads: 'Contrary to media reports today, other than a small residual balance Chelsea Football Club and our parent company Chelsea FC plc are debt free and do not owe any money to our shareholder (Fordstam Ltd). Neither do we owe any money to Roman Abramovich.'http://www.chelseafc...ge/LatestNews/0,,10268~2055740,00.htmlpapers making shit up again
BlueLion. 21,491
Unsurprising. I never fully trusted Kenyon but I appreciated his work as chief executive and I know he certainly has helped the club generate a lot of money to remove the burden of debt. We're almost virtually debt-free if Bruce Buck is to be believed.
EskWeston 696
Again the press showed up to be printing lies, however this wont get showed aywhere other than the Chelsea site, so most people will assume that we are in debt still, which is exactly what the press want everyone to believe.
