NEXT YEAR'S CARLING CUP TEAM

I don't think we will be seeing teams like that put out next season in the Carling Cup. We know that at Chelsea we like to field a strong team, so unless some of these youngsters have done enough to be semi-regular for the first team anyway i think we will see only 1 or 2 of them getting games against lower league opposition.

Sorry what the fuck is this thread? A 'list our best reserves' thread?

We don't know what players we'll have available, we don't know the fixtures etc etc.

other clubs often use carling cup to blood youngster ,,even Chelsea did under Gullit ..

dont think all those named are reserves..if you dont like the thread which was posted on a quiet day

POST ONE YOUR YOURSELF

I'll post one a couple days before our Carling Cup third round fixture.

I can't see that myself, to be honest. Not with Lampard, Essien and Mikel in the team.

No i agree, no youngster is going to be a first team regular next season, thats for sure. However Cork is a cracking player and it is criminal that he hasn't been used as much by Burnley even though he has been their best player, as their fans admit.

Stoch is another player who could have a big impact next season, especially if we continue with the 4-3-3.

Its always going to depend on the opposition were up against, who is fit etc etc, who were playing in the next game and so on.

I would quite like to see a few youngsters getting a chance, but its winning that matters and if were up against a decent team then I'd prefer to see our experienced first teamers in the starting XI with perhaps a few youngsters on the bench to come on if were winning 3/4-0 etc.
