P-Diddy in talks to buy Crystal Palace football club

Rap mogul P Diddy, aka Puff Daddy and real name Sean Combs, is planning to put in a £360million bid for Crystal Palace football club.

The star is hoping to bail out the floundering South London club which went into administration in January and is now stuck to the bottom of the Championship table - far from its glory days in the Premier League.

Apparently, the boss of Bad Boys Inc has been looking at a number of footie clubs, but was won over by Palace's name.

After all, his favourite champagne is Cristal, though not much of that is sipped at Selhurst Park.

In fact, it's been reported that the rapper's recent surprise visit to the capital was in fact for talks with bosses at the club, nicknamed The Eagles, and Diddy's spokesman confiemd he's looking to make a bid.

The club's former owner before it went into administration was Simon Jordan, who had his own brush with the music biz when he went out with Noel Gallagher's ex wife Meg Matthews.
