JBagley 2
Need some advice please. I'm traveling over from South Africa in October to come and watch Chelsea take on Blackburn at home.I've just bought 2x Chelsea memberships in order to buy tickets. I'm guessing the best way to get tickets is via the Viagogo site? Here are the available tickets for the game: http://chelseafc.viagogo.co.uk/Chelsea-Tickets/E-209297 (only available to purchase from 24th September.)I want to be able to sit as close to the pitch and center. I'm not worried about the cost, just need to know if this would be the best way to secure the tickets I want?I was also reading about loyalty points in this forum - do I need any in order to purchase tickets to this game? I hope not! Thanks!
Mart 29
Blackburn wont require loyalty points. If you want to be sure you get the tickets you want you'll have to be up at 7 on the day they go on sale (earlier ideally, to get through the login queue). Add the other membership as part of your friends and then go to buy tickets -> blackburn -> and choose West Lower or whatever you fancy. Your seat numbers will show up, but you get no say in which row or seat you get in the stand you chose - the only thing you could do is exit and retry, and see if you get new seats where you wanted them. Good luck.
JBagley 2
Thanks Mart! Would this be a better way of buying tickets than rather going through Viagogo?
Kez 2,727
Yeah directly from the club would be better mate
Ray. 217
As a new member I've certainly found it easier to get tickets from the club as you get a better chance of getting a seat with a membership. The golden rule seems to be to log on early on the internet if you want the best seats in the best areas of the stadium. I don't know about Viagogo as i've nwever gone via that route. JBagley 2
Awesome, thanks for the advice Blueray. Where would I find out what date (and time) the tickets will go on sale for the Blackburn game?
Laylabelle 9,535
Tickets can be brought online from 7:00And from the call box office at 9:00And sale date for Members is 28th Septhttp://www.chelseafc.com/page/OnSaleDates/0,,10268,00.html(list of dates)
Rock Star Poser 0
you might get face-value tickets, but via gogo seem to charge a lot of money when it comes down to, shipping and handling... Probably because that's how they make their cut.
JBagley 2
Hey guys, I've learnt some tips and tricks for buying tickets on the Chelsea site. The waiting room thing is complete rubbish. The earlier you online makes no difference.Open multiple browsers on multiple computers if possible. I had 5 browsers and my iPhone running on 2 machines. Its all about timing, so just keep watching the different browsers until 1 of them allows you to login.Once in, choose the area you want to sit.On the next screen it will allow you to select your name as well as give you your seat numbers. If you unhappy with them, cancel the order and click buy tickets again. (You do not need to logout)Why do I say the virtual waiting room is rubbish? The last browser I fired up was the first browser to let me login. I loaded the waiting room way past 7am on it. So there you go! I'm sitting in row 5, seats 210, 211 for the Blackburn game. Pity its not more central to the pitch, but hey, I'll take whatever I can get!
Kez 2,727
Yeah when i bought tickets once i opened with firefox, i was in the waiting room for ages so i opened a box in internet explorer at the same time and that one let me log in while the firefox one continued to keep me in the waiting room, i purchased tickets and was still in the waiting room on the other browser

blue_army 2
must be for the bigger games, ive only logged in the night before for euro away tickets- a bit more vital to get tickets when you already have travel booked, and the bigger away games

I'd say probably Row P or there abouts is a good view (gate 14). I've never been in the Shed End which I gather is THE place to be, and I think you might find it more difficult to get tickets in that area of the ground. BlueLion. 21,491
My tip for buying online is to log on the evening before, bookmark the DIRECT link to the ticket exchange, and then simply click that link when the office opens at 7 am. Works every time like a charm.
