Chelsea Watching James Henry?

Reading's young starlet James Henry seems to be gaining a lot of attention, and not just from Reading and Bournemouth, the club he is currently on loan with.

Recent reports had said that Tottenham were big fans of his, and would me making another move for him, with it thought that Martin Jol has already expressed an interest before his departure. Chelsea are seeing his promise also, well according to the tabloids anyway who suggests discreet enquires have already been made.

Everyone will hope that Henry stays with Reading, but for the time being all he can do is keep doing the job with Bournemouth during his loan spell and see where this takes him.

:D

Following Chelsea’s reported interest in Reading’s teenage talent James Henry, Spurs boss Juande Ramos is now looking into the credentials of the 18-year-old striker, who is currently on loan at League One strugglers Bournemouth (Daily Mail).

The youngster's stock rose following the televised 1-1 draw between the Cherries and Hartlepool, in which Henry scored an impressive goal . Still without a start for the Royals but with three goals in as many games for his loan side, he looks to be on his way to London.

It’s good to see Chelsea showing an interest in young British talent but the biggest problem could be that the young lad’s head is turned by such big interest and this could have a negative effect on his career. It may be better for Henry to stay with Reading as he is far more likely to get first-team football at the Madeski. Just look at how fellow young striker Shane Long has blossomed under Steve Coppell.
