Mancienne signs a new contract

The club has just announced that Michael Mancienne had signed a new four-year contract before he had joined Wolves on loan. Two great news for him and for the club as well.

Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce that Michael Mancienne today signed a new four-year contract, which will keep him at the club until 2013.

The club can also confirm that the 21-year-old defender has today joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on a season-long loan.

Good luck to the lad. He's a definate star in the making. If he continues to impress this season with Wolves as he's done in the past he'll be partnering JT in the not so distant future.

It is an important sign that Mancienne has signed a new contract. Firstly it shows that Chelsea believe he has a future with our first team, and secondly it shows that so does Mancienne.
