But he's not the greatest of all time, a legend but : Viv, Bradman, Sobers, Lara,Ponting, and Inzy

I would put Tendulkar higher than Sobers. There's no way he's below Lara, Ponting and Inzy -_-

Bradman would have without the war and the fact they played fewer tests then ,,, Sachin can well claim to be the second best batsman ever

True, I had forgotten about that interruption. Unfortunately I never saw Bradman play, before my time.

Fair shout on Bradman, but considering how long Tendulkar's been going and considering how he's still going how he is. It's a brilliant thing to watch. Greatest batsman from this generation, without a shadow of a doubt.

Haha yes, for now. Never count out India though, even when the cards are stacked against us we always bring yourselves back from the abyss. Done it time & time again, don't get too comfortable now ;)

Hope so, you got 3 Early Wickets Today, but one Again Ricky the Titan saved our Asses. :D I reckon Gambhir needs to go from your team, he's gonna get Murdered by our Bowlers throughout the Entire Series.

He's higher than Ponting, but Barely, Ricky's played 6 years less than Tendulkar, and if he wasn't hit so badly by Age (If he kept his form untill now) He'd be close to Sachin, if Not Higher in the Leading Run Scorers of all time

Haha, it's a shame there's no Symonds & Harbhajan this time

Ghambir is the epitome of hot & cold. When he's hot, he can get a century in the finest of fashions, but when he's cold he'll waste a lot of time trying to play himself in & even then he'll be slow. I think a lot of the 'cold' is the Sehwag factor.

The 3 in bold I wouldn't say he is better than, the other three possibly. But this is only batters I mean Imran Khan, Akram, Murali, Waqar Younis, S Mushtaq, Warne, Akhtar, Gilchrest. One guy who can say he can gave Tendulkar nightmares was:

Is that not a testament to Tendulkar's career though? He's 38 now and he still putting in valuable knocks. I also believe there's a place for Dravid in that list by the way. It's not surprise he's been pushed into the shadows of Tendulkar's limelight, but he's been a solid rock in our test squad for many, many years.

I Liked what Ian Chappel said in Commentary, Drop Gambhir, Move Dravid up to Open and Put in Rohit Sharma somehwere in your Batting lineup.

I have No problem saing Sachin is Better than Ricky, but it is Annyoing whan People say he is SOOO much Better than Ponting, when in Reality that's not True, When both were in their Prime they were both Just Batting Gods, almost Unstoppable.

Sobers was an all rounder..a complete one in that he could bowl both fast and spin ...brilliant fielder ,,wonderful bat ,,,

beats Botham as best ever complete cricketer.

Na, I wouldn't let Dravid open. He's simply not that type of batsman. Parthiv Patel is a good opener, but there's no place for him in the squad with Dhoni being our primary wicket keeper.

Rohit Sharma played really well in the ODI series v. West Indies and definitely will be part of the future of this team. He's the long term successor to Dravid, like Kholi is for Tendulkar.

In Raina, Kholi & Sharma we've got a good new spine that's emerging.

Changed that to PCB, man oh man did they screw him over, they really hated him. Either way he'll be remembered, rightly so too, the fastest bowler ever, a real handful - a lot of fast bowlers look up to him and get on well with him. I remember in the WC when he retired, Brett Lee and Tait poised with pictures with him. He got on really with the Aussies I wonder why :P
