Even tonight you could see Ashely Cole ignoring him despite Zhirkov having a good position and later on he went on by himself despite Drogba literally asking for the ball. I've always believed in his talent and he was quite good last year but it's like his not playing for the team and the team isn't playing for him. He seems to lack the ability to function in this side - though in fairness, it has been very difficult for him due to consistent injury.
