.Cee 50
JAMIE REDKNAPP has taken his first steps on the road to management by joining Chelsea’s backroom staff. The former Liverpool skipper and England midfielder, 35, is working two days a week coaching the Blues’ reserve team. He is also planning to study for his coaching badges in order to follow in the footsteps of dad Harry, who is boss of Chelsea’s rivals Tottenham. Redknapp was approached by Chelsea after the exit of coach Brendan Rodgers, who became Watford boss last month. He will also be working with Chelsea midfielder and his cousin Frank Lampard at the club’s training ground in Cobham, Surrey. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...icle2024609.ece

the wes 7,212
Jamie Redknapp's hopes of pursuing a coaching career with Chelsea have been dashed. The Daily Mail says Redknapp has been blocked from taking up a part-time coaching role at Chelsea by his Sky Sports employers. He was due to work unpaid for two days a week with the Chelsea reserve side as part of his coaching badge qualification. But the Sky Sports high command, who were not impressed by being left in the dark over Redknapp’s coaching plans, have moved quickly to ensure it doesn’t happen.
