Truth behind Batshuayi 'laughing at Morata' When a Man United fan posted a video of Batshuayi laughing after Chelsea’s defeat, writing: “Batshuayi laughing at Morata”, many immediately thought the Belgium international was genuinely chuckling after his new teammate, and his rival to start up front for Chelsea, missed his penalty. But Batshuayi couldn’t have been laughing after Morata’s miss. He had been subbed off during the match, and so would have been on the sidelines during the shootout. And look in the background. The empty seats suggest the video was taken during the trophy presentation, not during the shootout. It still leaves the cause of Batshuayi’s laughter unclear. But he wasn’t laughing at Morata.
