Last season we had 6. Its enough because Ivanovic can play CB and RB while Azpi can play LB and RB. Dont think you need 8 defenders in this case.

teams take 8 defenders to World cups where at the most they will play 7 matches ,, we play over SIXTY in a season and you think 8 are too many .

Perhaps if they are robots and never get injured or suspended ,,, PFFFFFFFFF .. whatever that means

This transfer will only make sence if we bench ivanovic, move Azpi to RB and give the young boy a place in starting XI. But so much money for this kid to sit on the bench... No please. The same goes with Stones. He is solid and young, but what is this kind of money they want???? I'd rather go after Chiellini. Or even to have kept Kalas or Andreas.
And I also think that if we won't move Azpi from the LB, we should go after a new RB. Ivanovic is the player who have to be replaced very soon. Put him on the bench- he can play as CB and RB, perfect choice for defender on the bench.
