Radamel Falcao

Falcao may score, but if he has not much else to offer then we should seriously skip this one. I think we need more of a team player rather than a goal scorer upfront, just like Drogba was.

Who? Because I think we need someone like Messi....

Every player has a bogey team see Messi v Chelsea :D

Besides didn't look like his teammates were looking for him much, perhaps preparing for life without Falcao! LOL

I think he just had a bad day, something which is not uncommon unlike some would have you believe.

And i also think Atletico can cope if he does leave, it will be hard to replace all those goals but i'm sure they can find a cheap striker to add to Adrian and Diego Costa.

(Speaking of replacing Falcao, Porto did this with Jackson Martinez for around 6m pounds and he has 14 goals in 18 games)

Who?

Lewy, Cavani.

Didier Drogba. That is 50 mil striker.
- you don't buy pure goal scorer for that money unless you really have no other option. Because they are not worth that much. Top all around strikers are, however, worth that much. Drogba scored bunch of goals, especially in the finals. But he was also excellent all around player, able to defend, assist, motivate, make the right moves, keep defenders busy, carry whole team on his back when things got tough. Even when he didn't score, he was often very usefull and contributed massively. And that makes striker worth 50 mil
- even though we have perfect attacking midfielders able to supply any striker (especially Falcao), they are still talented players who will improve at some point. When they do, they will try to score as well, not only to assist. Meaning, despite our creators, we are not going to play around striker, like they did in Porto and Atletico for Falcao. He will have to adapt his game in the team that doesn't play to his strenghts and completely around him. We have too much quality in the attack for any striker to enjoy that kind of luxury.
- I know it sounds strange, but being striker in Chelsea is hard. Partly because of price tag, and partly because of press who just wait opportunity to crucify you. That is why I have an impression we need striker with strong mentality, whose self - confidence comes from his capabilities rather than his past achievments (ok. preferably both). I really fear those strikers who are called greatest for long time, because in tough times ( potential crisis) that doesn't make them stronger, rather more vulnerable.
- I'm sure there is a striker who complements and fits our game perfectly that doesn't cost that much, but it would be too much for our board to find him. In that case, Falcao makes sense, even though i prefer Cavani. I would also splash much cash on a central/defensive midfielder able to retain ball properly, because it's central midfield where we have been outplayed against strong teams, especially in CL.

Spot on there, you have to think about the surroundings, Falcao moved to europe pretty young and was at Porto for some time, though he only moved to spain next door, not a huge change or adaption. Premier League is a whole new level for him, whereas many people where going to Porto his age, as that's what Porto usually do, sign South Americans.

I do like Falcao's first touch and he really does make use of his space. But the supply will be completely different. I don't think we are such a creative team yet, although that might sound stupid, i do think this team still needs time to mix.

Not many people could see it, but i could see Falcao flopping here, because i could never see Torres flopping here and he did. I remember how good Torres was and he seemed almost invincible and now look at him. It's like this club can literally turn any great player into Heskey, though it's the same for a lot of clubs. Though this one kind of holds that name, by other fans and media, it has that sort of repuation. I would much rather get an all round striker as you said, i think someone like Cavani would do better. He seems to be a lot more of a team player, and likes to get stuck in, his work rate is also exceptional.

Lewy, Cavani.

Love Jackson Martinez! If and when he builds his reputation in Europe he'll be another big player out of Porto.

Lewandowski is nothing like Drogba, not even close! I like Cavani a lot if it ain't Falcao I'd gladly take Cavani.

If only i knew who exactly. I wouldn't mind someone like Cavani, In Serie A a lot of strikers seem to be more of team players rather than target men like they are here. Their is only one Didier Drogba unfortunately, but we will find our man, and we will adapt different and just about as good as we where before. Unless the rumours are true and we continue and try to be these barcelona wannabes.

Oh of course, i was just talking about Lewy being more than just a goal scorer.

Cavani is a great player and also not only about the goals, he works hard all over the pitch and so deadly on the counter.

Torres wasn't exactly lighting it up just before arriving here. He was already on the decline. He didn't walk through the door at the Bridge and suddenly turn shit.

Falcao is in prime form and looks to be getting better.

Can't see any way he'd be a flop here.

We're talking about a man who was asked the question 'What can you tell us about the rumours of you joining a Premier League club?' during the summer.

His reply: 'Forza Napoli!'

I would be shocked if Cavani leaves Napoli in January or the summer.
