I am in Shanghai, I am long past the club scene however. The younger teachers I work with talk about going clubbing so I know there are lots of them here.

Our nightlife is off the chain. Any opportunity for a party (as we say lime) to be had better believe it will be going down. Clubs, bars, parties (hearing music from one right now). We have a city with a tag line of "the city that never sleeps" so one can definitely enjoy themselves there.

There is also a seasonal element (Around Carnival) where everything goes up a notch!

Someone told me that Newcastle has the best nightlife, is it true?

In Dunstable mega crap!We have a club which is pretty crap and because the bar is right on the dance floor it feels tiny.Another where they charge a £5 to get in...the DJ doesnt have a clue what he is doing and most the time you can count the people in there on one hand...the Carpet is nice though.They seem to big themselves up on the 'guests' they get in.Most are Only way is Essex...and Dappy?!? Always a fight in there which makes it more intresting

Couple of pubs which arent bad but its so dead!You have to drink a lot then it doesnt seem so bad lol.Went to Brighton the other week that way fun...and yeh my friend keeps going on about Newcastle being really good.Just far far away!
