Chelsea Football Club is extremely disappointed with the announcement today regarding the Everton fixture.

We believe the decision to hold the match on Thursday April 17 undermines the sporting integrity of the competition by giving our rivals for the Premier League title an unnecessary competitive advantage at a critical time of the season, with more recovery time from their previous match and preparation time for their next fixture when we have to play two games during the same period.

Secondly there has been no consideration given to our fans who will be presented with serious travel, work and other issues.

And lastly, the decision sets a dangerous precedent in changing match days still further when fixture congestion does not exist and when a sensible solution regarding other television matches that weekend was suggested.

Football has benefited greatly from the backing of television and Chelsea as much as anyone else. However this decision is one step too far and we reserve all rights on our position.

Fucking stupid

ive just sent this to the premier league

Dear Sirs ( actually that is to kind for you tossers)

I would like to express my disgust that you are really trying to ruin our beloved game.

Do the fans not matter anymore? , Obviously not !!!!!!

The Everton v Chelsea game on a thursday night is a disgrace surely it would make more sense to show a game midweek between two fairly local teams to help the fans of the club's involved ( sorry i forgot the premier league dont do sensible). So what are you going to do for the fans that have booked train tickets for the saturday that are not refundable not to mention the fact that how are we meant to get home after the match ? I presume nothing as is the norm let the real fans cough up best part of another £100 as long as we please the armchair fans at home who DO NOTHING for the football world.

Oh and what about the days unpaid leave i have to take to watch the match , of course you will do nothing except defend your decision like you are the victims.

US FANS ARE THE SOUL OF ENGLISH FOOTBALL THE SOONER YOU UNDERSTAND THIS THE BETTER

From the Chels site..dont help with train money but still:

Please note the date change. Fans unable to attend the match due to the fixture change will be entitled to a refund if they return the tickets to Chelsea FC. Tickets already purchased will be valid for the new date.

This is an absoloute disgrace and an insult to fans. How the PL can run rule and change fixtures whenever they feel like it,all for the sake of TV.They don't care about the genuine fans that actually travel to games. Most people have weekends off,now for the Everton game, many Chelsea fans will have to take a day off, mostly unpaid,so they can get to Liverpool for an 8pm kick off. Then is the hassle of getting back to London in the small hours of Friday morning, many will have to go to work/school that day too.

Where is the sense in that?

I forgot, the Premier League and Sky don't do sense
