sorry for the gigantic bump, but there's no point in making a new thread for this.

anyway, recently I've got 2 letters in my youtube inbox saying that if I put their link in my video description box, they will pay me. I know this is 99% a scam, but there is still 1% chance that it isn't, that's what I want to figure out, to be 100% sure. Today I got a letter back from one saying this:

"For a permanent link in your description area of your videos/sites, A FREE 3 day 2 night stay, @ over 90 Resort Destinations, A Free $1000 in Grocerys & a Free $1000 Restaurant certificates, accepted @ all major chains, and last, but not least $18 in cash through your paypal account. Total Value $2,218.00 firm offer.

Thanks in advance."

Have you got letters like this and what did you do? I probably sound stupid for asking but if it is some sort of legit marketing strategy, then I wouldn't mind 18 bucks.
