I have no doubt he wants to stay indeed, but if he is gonna leave it is because Jose force him out in order to bring in Rooney. We are not selling him(if we sell) because of money.

Same situation with Essien after 2009, Drogba after 2010, Malouda after 2010...etc obviously no fan would want the best player previous season to leave but also forgot we have to think about long term and greater goods as well. Look at Spurs, obviously none of them want to sell Bale but if they sell him now, they could get Lamela, Wilian(before we jumped in) and the left over enough to buy Soldado+Capoune. So that is 4 quality players for one.

Naaa he is a winger who can play any where behind the ST and in front of the CDM. He is also very fast, much faster than Mata so he suits Jose's counter attacking style more.

Rooney+£20m for Mata and the probability is suddenly 100% but as unlikely as it is, it is NOT IMPOSSIBLE.

Mata on best form vs Rooney on best form? There is only 1 winner there... and he English. Didn't Rooney scored 12 goals and had like 12 assists himself last season despiting being out for nearly 2 months and apparently had one of his worse season ever? Isn't that roughly the same amount of goals and assist Mata got in BPL and it was supposed to be Mata's best ever season in a football shirt. So a crap Rooney is already almost as good as the very best Mata.

You know why Willian wasn't picked a lot for Brazil team? Because Brazil have a lot of top class wingers like Neymar, Hulk...etc who are all better than Willian. Also the fact that he is playing in Ukraine/Russia league doesn't help either, Brazil manager is not going to come over there to scout him so again an disadvantage. Look at Fernandinho, just as good as Ramires is not better and never been picked for Brazil I think? And why? Because he was playing in Ukraine. Now Bernard has just ruined his career too by moving to that league.
