  1. Arsene Wenger in the press conference this morning: "I expect nobody to leave the club." Goodbye Cesc and Nasri! :541:
  2. Yes, far too many. Scolari just had to go, but Mourinho and Ancelotti certainly didn't. I don't think it's fair to include a temporary manager like Hiddink in that list. Grant may have relegated two clubs in as many years, but he took over at a difficult time and did a lot for us in less a season - he took the title race to the last day of the season, we lost the Carling Cup final in extra time and the Champions League final on penalties. Had the Moscow goals been one inch wider, he would have gone down in history.
  3. The match is on, along with every other PL game except Spurs-Everton. Some games could start early to help the police.
  4. Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore said he was "positive" the other nine games in the opening round of top-flight fixtures would go ahead. "At 6pm [1800 BST] we will have a very clear picture," he added. "The very latest situation is that Tottenham and Everton has gone. "The police have done a fantastic job, but it's been a crime scene all week and the council have not had enough time to do what they need. "The other nine fixtures are looking positive, subject to any more trouble. The Tottenham game is a real shame but we support the police in what they are doing. "They want these games to go on as much as we do." http://news.bbc.co.u...ll/14485169.stm
  5. Nasri and Fabregas off! What a joke of a football club! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14482418.stm
  6. I don't want to play to a stereotype, but I'm surprised they can read. One said "I'm glad he's not our problem anymore" and went onto praise Carroll and Suarez as their new saviours.
  7. Inevitable, isn't it? The Liverpool fans on Twitter are rather smug, completely forgetting everything he did for them. He was hardly going to start against Stoke, so maybe missing that match will be a blessing in disguise if AVB wasn't planning on playing Drogba.
  8. Torres is almost certainly ruled out after being taken out of the Spain-Italy match after fifteen minutes due to concussion. Drogba, meanwhile, scored his 50th Ivory Coast goal.
  9. Have the medical and personal terms sill not been agreed/completed yet? I know Torres and Luiz couldn't play at Sunderland as it was a couple of days after signing, so what's the story with Stoke and how long we can leave it?
  10. ^ Yet you choose Torres over Drogba against a physical side like Stoke?
  11. Genius. "I even dug the underground s*** you did in Japan!"
  12. Winning the league in 2005 (from 44 seconds)... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DM3iJkubsLI&feature=player_detailpage#t=44s
  13. He's arrived. Lukaku at St Pancreas: http://www.dailymail...ea-medical.html
  14. I forgot we've got another young Belgian player in Courtois - they seem to have a decent national side for the future and promising talents.
  15. Not the best opening game, but I'm confident about this new era.
  16. Time for a certain Kalou to leave now?
  17. Sorry, double post. Getting used to this new layout.
