This game does not matter at all, it nothing more than a regular pre season game. I thought sturridge was really lively and he was an instant upgrade on anelka.

I really like players like ramires he is a pure fighter and he is a winner, i can't wait for his first bone crushing tackle hahahahaha. Essienb and ramires will have to be disciplined though, both of them want to penetrate going forward and one will have to sit.

Our midfield will never be static and robotic again, when we had mikel ballack and lampard it just took them too long to function, no speed at all and energy. With ramires and essien they can swap in there attacking and defensive duties and it can completely aid lampard to do what he does best and that effect games in the final third.

I had very high hopes for him a few years ago and he did not do a thing of note at wigan, if we get 1m for him that will be good.

He will compete with jack wilshire in the future for a starting role with England, i don't think he and jack can play in the same midfield. Another gerrard lampard situation were people will people comparing them for years and years. As for this season i think it is a bit to early for him to get game time, lat 10 mins here and there.

I think benayoun will start behind anelka with a flat 4 in midfield.

Thursday or friday the club will announce the signing, i wonder what number he will get ?

He was very entertaining to watch even against holland he already knows when to dribble and when to pass so good luck to the lad.

Both of them will be in the first team next season hopefully, they are very different players and we don't have enough midfielders. Ramires is only 1 year older than matic and he has big game experience, he can bring energy pace and tackling ability to our midfield, also he is fantastic in the air !. This transfer is very essien like, he is a raw young midfielder who like's to tackle and to get forward.

Kakuta is not the type of player we should be looking to loan out lol, he can make a difference now to our team.
