The whole thing is just nothing short of amateurish and sad. The divide between board and manager is huge now, Conte has chucked the towel in and now is even speaking openly about how it's all the clubs doing regarding transfers and he will come in when asked. The club have their own direction so we may as well not even have a fucking coach, just let Jody Morris come in every now and again, take the odd training session and fuck it all.
Conte is not turning this club into anything, the club is turning itself into mediocrity by the way it conducts itself and the way we do deals. The vision from Conte is totally different to that of the board, you can see it, it's as plain as the nose on your face and it just simply doesn't, and cannot work like that. How anyone can actually have the audacity to actually point all of this on Conte is beyond me. He's made some bad selection decisions and has also made bad in game choices but the simple fact is the board want something totally different to the manager, yet he is expected to deliver on a "Here have that player" basis.
He should be knighted for what he did last season, and from that point, the club/board should of sat down and said, now we have to build on this, turn this group of talented players into an even bigger force to push onto the next level. They didn't, what they did do was fail to get the top players to take us up a level, and that's even another question did they actually try and the vision was middle of the road players all along, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest. This club hasn't had direction for years now, and only the people at the very top can control that, not Conte, not the team but the fucking dickheads who control this club.
In my line of work I have two managing directors and an area manager, they back me, they trust me and in tough times they ask my advice and my take on things. It's called communication and a working relationship that should happen in every workplace and environment. I have no doubt Conte has the trust of the players but there is where it stops, the border then to the board is so broken it's as if Conte has given up, which I think he has. And think about this, he knows he's going end of the season, it's written in his face and body language, so I think he has every fucking right to speak to the media about the way this club is being ran and maybe it just the flare in the sky needed to warn other managers who are next in line that this board run the club no matter who is in charge, and you will get no fucking say, it's their way or the highway.
It stinks and it's fucking killing this club.
