  1. Obviously but my point is that until he can break into that roll of being the main striker he has to become that sort of player because he will get over looked by better players like Didier and now we also have Lukaku who has clearly been brought in for that Drogba replacement.
  2. Yes but when you see players like Juan Mata who is only 1 years older make the decisions he makes it makes you wonder. I completely understand this is his first year in a big club and playing on a regular basis out of position but the thing is he is not going to keep getting these chances if he keeps making silly mistakes like he does. Chances like these come once in a life time and he needs to take it now. Because like most of our managers I dont think Chelsea will wait around for him to become the perfect player. Instead they will go out and splash the cash like we always do.
  3. Yes but say it was against a Barcelona in a semi-final of the Champions League for example and he did that, everyone would get on his back for it. It is better he learns now then later imo.
  4. Yes i see what you are saying but I also think this could of worked against him. The fans were clearly becoming annoyed at his selfishness and surely Pearce would of seen this?
  5. First off let me put it out there that i am a big admirer of this young lad, he has some quality potential to be one of the best strikers in the Premier League in years to come, but some crucial things things need to change. Daniel gets himself in some great positions down that right wing and sometimes it is good to see the lad go himself and have a blazing shot that most times pressures the keeper into a save, but as of late his selfiness is becoming far to noticeable and annoying to see for most Chelsea fans and players. The game against Leicester for example, he had so many chances to give the ball off to players in a better position but most times he decided to take it on himself instead of giving it off to the better option. What i would like to know is whether or not he has been told by Chelsea management to be this selfish or he has become this bad on his own self will to be the shining star in every game. Sometimes its a good thing but most the time it's not. Discuss!
  6. Bennytwohats from FoxesTalk.co.uk has kindly answered some questions on our FA Cup clash with Leicester City today! - How long have you supported Leicester for? Went to my first game just after I moved to Leicester when I was 7, so for about 18 years. - You are currently sitting in 11th position, have you had a good season and where could you of improved? Season has been disappointing by all accounts. I personally think the problem has been stability, too many players/managers in and out recently. I think Sven should have been given more time but Pearson has been slowly improving us - I hope we stick with him and give him time to build something, then we can look forward to next summer. Most disappointing thing about this season has been the lack of patience and heightened expectations for me. Not enjoyed some of the home games I have been to for that reason. - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? In keeping with most on here it would have to be Nugent and Schmeichel. They have rarely put in a bad performance and have both single handedly won us games at times. We'd be a lot worse of without these two for sure. Look out for Beckford though, on a good run of form in the cup. - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? Without any doubt at all it has to be Juan Mata. He is far and away the best player at Chelsea imo. So much class, great vision, great composure and a great beard to top it off. Really hope you can get Torres back to form too because when he was on it at Liverpool he was my favourite player to watch in the premiership, sadly it's been far too long since we have seen the best of him, though he has showed glimpses of it this season, just not in front of goal. - Finally, what do you think the final score will be? I'm feeling optimistic, so gonna take a punt and say 2-1 to us. Click here to view the article
  7. MattSmith74 from FoxesTalk.co.uk has answered some questions on today's FA Cup clash with Leicester! - How long have you supported Leicester for? 30 odd years since the days of Lineker. - You are currently sitting in 11th position, have you had a good season and where could you of improved? Been one of most inconsistent seasons I can remember. Great victory away at Soton and Bristol City have done the double over us. Played especially well in the cup. Shame Chelsea not from the Midlands as we have a great record against locals. - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? Nugent been exceptional all year and works his socks off. Kind of game Beckford will thrive on. Dyer decent wide left and we potentially have a solid back 4. Struggle v big strikers tho so will be interesting to see if Drogba plays. - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? I'd take Frank Lampard. Been treated appalling by AVB and still one of best English midfielders. I really like Sturridge too. You lot need to look after him or he'll move. - Finally, what do you think the final score will be? As with all other posts it’s a heart v head moment. With Napoli game going to ET and massive game v Man City on Wed I expect some changes and that would be our chance. We'll concede but I'm going for a 1-1 draw and a win at KP. Payback for Erland Johnson's blatant dive all those years ago. Click here to view the article
  8. Never going to happen, but you can dream!
  9. Welcome to the forum mate! Stick around, any plans to move back to London eventually?
  10. ScouseFox from FoxesTalk.co.uk has answered some questions ahead of our FA Cup encounter! - How long have you supported Leicester for? Caught the end of O'Neill, when we were good and that. Probably 12/13 years. - You are currently sitting in 11th position, have you had a good season and where could you of improved? It's been horrible, really. FA Cup aside, which has had two really good results (a third on Sunday, we hope). It took us until last week to win twice on the bounce, so we've been too inconsistent. We win against Southampton, Brighton, Birmingham, Blackpool etc, give everyone hope then next game go and lose to Doncaster, Bristol City, and Millwall. We have battered local rivals everywhere though, which is always pleasing. - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? Kasper has kept us in so many games. Nuge has scored our goals, and Konchesky has been solid throughout. - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? Ramires. He's boss. Everything about him is boss. - Finally, what do you think the final score will be? We always seem to perform better against the better teams. But the better teams in our league are a little bit worse than Chelsea. So we'll see, but probably 2-1 or 3-1. Click here to view the article
  11. SystonFox from FoxesTalk.co.uk has kindly answered some questions on todays FA Cup quarter final encounter! - How long have you supported Leicester for? I was born in 1987 but got into football at an early age, it was more playing and watching any team on MOTD, but as far as Leicester are concerned i think i went to my first game in 94/95 season. I've been to two Wembley finals (Palace and Tranmere), which we both won. Witnessed grown men cry the year before tranmere at an Oadby pub when Spurs beat us 1-0 :-( had a season ticket from 04 > '10 then gave it up when we got relegated to the league one. so you could say i witnessed our darkest days of football in my memory (bar Peter Taylor). - You are currently sitting in 11th position, have you had a good season and where could you of improved? Its been poor really, the money we've spent and the players we've acquired we should be up in the top 6 but for some reason it just hasn't clicked and we've only just managed to get back to back wins which was then followed by two away defeats in which we conceded 6 goals! This sums our season up, inconsistent! - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? Players to be scared of, Nugent and Beckford (on his day!) can be deadly. Mind you Becks is yet to score away from home all season. Most consistent player i believe to be either from Schmeichel or Konchesky but he's suspended for picking up a red against Coventry. - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? I’d love Torres here at City because i believe he lacks confidence and imagine what he could do in the champ. Let us have him on loan wont you? 6 month deal please! - Finally, what do you think the final score will be? Finally, I think that the final score tomorrow will be 1-1. Drogba to get yours in stoppage time in the first half, Lloyd Dyer to score ours after 51 minutes. Click here to view the article
  12. Artinho has agreed to join the moderation team after we have decided to take Feroze off the list. It is nothing personal towards Feroze he is just not on enough to help around with certain things around the forum. I have personally spoken to him about it and he understands. Glad to have you on board Artinho, hope you can do a good job!
  13. I was going to buy a WL statesman mate, they are amazing cars mate but i got this one very cheap off one of my dad's friends. I cant explain to you how well this car drives, it does not miss a beat and it has plenty of power.
  14. Good draw in the Quarters lads! I think we can do it. Going to be a very hard game still and they should not be underestimated. This will be another Napoli type game and we need to go out with a good game plan!
  15. Waits to draw Barcelona... Waits to get robbed out of the CL again.
  16. Lucky lads, wish i was going to the game like last season.
  17. This was in the middle of the Napoli game last night
  18. I think Alex put a timer on it. Jim can you add my account to the twitter section on the top. Daily limit reached!

I Love Napoli and SSC Napoli, it's my life. - Did you have the privilege of watching the great Gianfranco Zola for Napoli, if so what can you tell us about him when he playing for you? 20. Mins from our partners at NA1926.net has kindly answered some questions on tonights UEFA Champions League 2nd leg clash with SSC Napoli! - Firstly, what are your thoughts on the Virtual twinning between NA1926 and TalkChelsea? It's always nice being able to talk about football with other people, and I think it's even more interesting discussing with people of other countries, to see if they also approach to it in the same way. So, it seems pretty cool to me (It's also pretty useful to don't forget how to write in English) - How long have you supports SSC Napoli? Since I was ten (this does not mean I supported other teams before Naples. It is, and will always be my first and only love). At that time, we manage to arrive to Coppa Italia finals, but we lost against Vicenza. I remember I felt awful, but it was nothing compared to what appended in 2004, when we were forced to declare bankrupt. - Did you have the privilege of watching the great Gianfranco Zola for Napoli, if so what can you tell us about him when he playing for you? No, unfortunately I did not, because I was a kid, and he already left Napoli, when I started to support Napoli. - Do you think Napoli have a chance of playing Champions League football again next season? I won't answer to that, hope you guys understand. - There was some very impressive performances from a few players up front in our first leg. Who do you think will have to play at there best for our second leg at Stamford Bridge? I want a great performance from Marek Hamsik, in joining midfield with Cavani and Lavezzi. - If you could take one player from Chelsea to join Napoli, who would it be and why? I'd like to take David Luiz, even if our third goal is entirely its fault, because I think he will be one of the greatest defender of our time. - Finally, after an impressive home victory for Napoli do you think you will hold on and progress to the next round or do you think Chelsea will turn it around? What will be the final score? I don' t think any of us will ever answer to this question... Click here to view the article
  21. Dj Borgs from our partners at NA1926.net has kindly answered some questions on tonights UEFA Champions League 2nd leg clash with SSC Napoli! - Firstly, what are your thoughts on the Virtual twinning between NA1926 and TalkChelsea? Modestly it was my idea. - How long have you supports SSC Napoli? About 25 years. - Did you have the privilege of watching the great Gianfranco Zola for Napoli, if so what can you tell us about him when he playing for you? When Gianfranco played with Napoli I was just a kid, but he approached me to the football. He was awesome, he had a phenomenal dribbling ability and a deadly shot! He was one of my favourite players! - Do you think Napoli have a chance of playing Champions League football again next season? I hope, but I do not agree with our coach that concentrates too much on CL, it is soon to try to win this cup. - There was some very impressive performances from a few players up front in our first leg. Who do you think will have to play at there best for our second leg at Stamford Bridge? Lavezzi has to run twice as hard to win the match....otherwise I will be very very very scared! - If you could take one player from Chelsea to join Napoli, who would it be and why? Malouda or Essien, of course! - Finally, after an impressive home victory for Napoli do you think you will hold on and progress to the next round or do you think Chelsea will turn it around? What will be the final score? I'm from Neaples, I'm too superstitious for this question! Click here to view the article
