John Terry has offered his thanks to Chelsea fans after admitting the supporters have been 'quite incredible' over the past two weeks. The Chelsea skipper has been faced with allegations regarding his private life over the past fortnight, with reports claiming Terry had an affair with the ex-girlfriend of his former Blues team-mate Wayne Bridge. He has been stripped of the captaincy of England as a result of the allegations after coach Fabio Capello deemed his decision to be in the best interests of the national team. Terry has not commented on the allegations and played in front of his own fans at Stamford Bridge on Sunday for the first time since the stories broke. The centre-half received a positive reaction from the Chelsea fans throughout the 2-0 win over title rivals Arsenal and he has thanked the club's faithful for their support. Emotional "On a personal note I would like to thank every single fan," Terry told Chelsea TV. "It's been an emotional day for myself and how the fans have been with me over the last two weeks has been quite incredible. "I didn't expect that today and I would like to thank every single individual fan for the way they treated me. "It was a great performance and, I mean it from my heart, I would like to thank everyone." SKY
