I'm praying we can turn this one round. I have £100 on us to win the League Cup at 9/1.
-
OK, I lost my £90 on the FSW. but have found a way to get a little bit of it back: £120 on rafa to NOT be the manager at the start of next season @ 5/6 (Victor Chandler) £50 on rafa to be the manager at the start of next season @ 5/2 (Ladbrokes) Total £170 bet. £50 profit as long as he isn't manager at the start of next season, and £5 profit if for some strange reason he is still the manager. It's not very often the bookies give you a non lose bet. p.s. I would have bet more, but £50 is the maximum that Ladbrokes is taking on the bet.

I refuse to believe that it's going to be the fat spanish waiter as our next manager, so I have just LAYed £90 on Betfair @ 1.30 for a possible win of £300. If we do get the fat spanish waiter then losing £90 will be the least of my concerns.

Realistically I can't see anybody other than us or arsenal winning the league cup, so the saver bet is tempting (although having a bet on them to win it would make me feel a bit dirty). I am going to have to think about this one a bit.

That was a bit exciting last night, wasn't it !? Believe it or not I managed to find a profit from last nights league cup game at home to manutd. I really couldn't decide what score to bet on (as it was impossible), so I had £55 on us to progress to the next round @ 8/11 (£40 profit). At 93 minutes I thought that it was dead money. I'm pretty happy with the £100 I have on us to win the league cup at 9/1 (very generous Victor Chandler), as the odds are now down to just 6/4. Should I have a small £50 saver bet on arsenal to win it @ 2/1 ?

My effort's for the manutd game on Saunday: £10 on 1-0 @ 12.0 £6 on 2-0 @ 17.0 £3 on 3-0 @ 36.0 £8 on 2-1 @ 11.0 £3 on 3-1 @ 24.0 Total outlay £30

That is true Ollie, but I am still in profit for the season so far (by about £200) and therefore my recent losses have only been giving the bookies some of their money back.
-
You could be right Hutcho. I have just added a £30 bet on Chelsea to win (draw no bet) @ 2.32 just in case they score. At least this way I won't lose money if we win (unlike the spurs game).
-
OK, I lost money on the spuds game. They were not supposed to score twice, and we weren't supposed to score more than 3. Nevertheless, I was still ecstatic. I am going to risk a little bit less for tonight's game against Shakhter. I think I have some great value odds here: £15 on 1-0 @ 11.0 £10 on 2-0 @ 19.0 £5 on 3-0 @ 50.0 £2 on 4-0 @ 160.0 £2 on 5-0 @ 770.0 Total outlay £34

This is spurs we are talking about. We cannot lose (especially with the clown in charge).

The Norwich game let me down, but I still have a reasonable profit for the season so far, so I am not yet deterred. For the spurs game I am going for a very similar betting pattern as I did for the arsenal game: £15 on 1-0 @ 12.0 £10 on 2-0 @ 20.0 £5 on 3-0 @ 46.0 £15 on 2-1 @ 12.5 £5 on 3-1 @ 30.0 and finally; a saver bet of £25 on the draw @ 3.50 Total outlay £75
-
My bets for the Norwich (home) game: £15 to win 2-0 @ 7.8 £19 to win 3-0 @ 9.0 £12 to win 4-0 @ 14.5 £6 to win 5-0 @ 29.0 £4 to win 6-0 @ 67.0 £2 to win 7-0 @ 126.0 £2 to win 8-0 @ 301.0 Total outlay £60

Thank you WHS and TRS. My season is going along quite nicely so far. I have already re-invested £60 for the Norwich game. I will post my bets once Betfair have accepted the odds I have asked for. I also have a lot of juicy season bets.

After good profits from the Wolves and Arsenal games, this is what I am going for tonight (away to FC Nordsjaelland) : £15 to win 2-0 @ 7.8 £10 to win 3-0 @ 11.5 £8 to win 4-0 @ 19.5 £4 to win 5-0 @ 44.0 £3 to win 6-0 @ 120.0 Total outlay £40
-
My bets for the Arsenal game (our score listed first) : £10 1-0 @ 13.5 £6 2-0 @ 24.0 £4 3-0 @ 62.49 £11 2-1 @ 14.0 £4 3-1 @ 38.0 and finally £16 draw @ 3.5 I have covered quite a few scores because of the increased odds (it being arsenal away). I have included the bet on the draw as a saver bet (I wouldn't normally bet on us to draw). As long as we don't lose I should expect a return from my £51 invested.
-
Thanks Hutcho !! 300 quid back from 60 quid outlay (240 profit). Not bad. It puts my season into a good profit.
-
Yes, it sounds like they have missed 2 sitters. That is always the big worry when betting to win to nil.
-
Good point Hutcho. At 3-0 early on I panicked and have added the following bets in-play: £10 7-0 at 14/1 £5 8-0 at 40/1 £5 9-0 at 80/1

You can never be certain we won't concede, but 4 clean sheets from 5 in the league is a good start. The league cup is always more difficult to predict the score because of the changes to the side that will be made. But when covering multiple scores for one game I find it safest to bet on us to not concede. Having said that; I have made some changes to my betting pattern for the arsenal game.
