  1. Every chance, but obviously more if it was in Hampshire. Rednapp knows what hes doing, and Manutd were lucky that Arsenal didn't turn up on Saturday.
  2. Yup, but cant see us getting an upset there, unlike the scallies did at Anfield.
  3. Mutu does it again for Fiorentina Daily Mail 18th February 2008 Former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu claimed his 14th league goal of the season as Fiorentina beat Catania 2-1. The Romanian, who came back from injury to hit the only goal in Thursday's 1-0 UEFA Cup clash at Rosenborg, struck a stunning winner from 30 yards. Mutu is now second in the Serie A scoring charts, while Fiorentina are in the fourth Champions League spot. The striker, sacked by Chelsea in 2004 after testing positive for cocaine, said: "There are still a lot of games to play and we can improve." Must be still snorting.
  4. Fat Franks done good for a West Ham reject. One of the all time Chelsea Greats.
  5. Man Utd were flattered by a strangely toothless Arsenal on Saturday, think we'd give them more than that at Old Trafford, but agree, it would be a hell of a task to come away witha result there. That said we tend to do alright there over the years. I hope Man Utd get Pompey away.
  6. He may develop into a world Class striker, but from what I've seen of him, that 'instinct ' Analka, Shvchenko have can't be taught and he doesnt have it in my book. Probably end up at Charlton , or West Ham at tops.
  7. ''Barcelona or Real Madrid or one of the teams in England always fighting for the title: Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool or Chelsea'' The first two would be more likely.
  8. With the quality of the team , it would be extremely unlikely that someone like Sahar wiould make it as regular starter, given the status of the club and the quality of strikers in the world available. Just not good enough.
  9. Yeah he seems to have beefed up a bit at ACN, and I definitely noticed a different Kalou in Africa on the World stage.
  10. Well he has age on his side, and would start him above Malouda for the time beng. But with Kalou back it's going to be competetive.
  11. Agree he's been pretty poor, and dont think he'll ever cut it for the first team tbh. Just doesnt read the game well enough. Wish him well though.
  12. Lampard silences the critics the best way, and Sinclair should get more games on the strength of that performance.
  13. Well hopefully Pompey or someone will knock them out before then
  14. You're bound to get differing views about the Manc Mr Zippy. You agreed about the mag being shite JBD. I was around for the Div 2 outings and CM 2000 as well. You could say the criticsm of the club, and football generally having everything to do with money, is us having a greater regard for the club we love. Kenyon is a cunt for a number of reasons off the top of my head -changing the badge, wanting to rebrand fans as ''customers'', calling Man Utd the greatest franchise in the World and wanting to ''do the same with Chelsea'', treating it the same way as when he worked for the cigarette company Gallahers, peddling addiction and death. Its only coincidence that he is seen as successful -he just happened to be Man Utds Chief Executive when ManUtd won the treble, then he wasted no time in getting his cueball mug plastered everywhere grinning. Its good we have different views about things otherwise this forum would be boring as fuck. Neil Barnett is a prize cunt btw, and dont get me started on the stewards.
  15. This was posted last year when it appeared in the Guardian.
  16. Fancy a nice home draw or Cardiff/Bristol Rovers away 1 Bristol Rovers 2 Cardiff City 3 Sheffield United or Middlesbrough 4 Barnsley 5 Manchester United 6 Portsmouth 7 West Bromwich Albion 8 Chelsea Draw at half past one today
  17. Elliots right, you might have a different view if you lived in England and went to a game or two.
  18. Income -big, big. big difference. They're basically so much in debt and relying on the brand to make money for the Glazers, no one else.
  19. 3 Things that sum up the ugly side of Chelsea FC. 1) The Chelsea Magazine 2) Kenyon 3) That cunt before games in a pseudo Yank accent that says ''Repreeeeeeseeeenting Cheeeeeeeeeelseea !''
  20. Manchester Utd are nowhere near the second richest club in the world. They are not in any way profitable. Crewe, Doncaster and Accrington Stanley are more in profit. The Glazers sneakily borrowed the money @ £750 000 000, via a bank and set up a separate company. The interest payments are just about covered by ManUtds income. So all ManUtd fans are doing is paying off the Glazers overdraft. The Glazers have essentially bought a brand, get the fans to pay for it whilst it goes up in value, like a house, then they'll sell and in their mind make a massive profit on the backs of fans. By using a separate company, if it all went tits up, they would walk away owing nothing and ManUtd would collapse. This wont happen because they know football fans are the most loyal punters in the World.
  21. I dont keep saying that, maybe you're getting mixed up with somebody else. I said younger fans cant see how 'big' clubs have fucked over there loyal fans in the last 15-20 years. Spent more than enough on players. He doesnt need to spend wages on Kenyon to prostitute Chelsea to rich tourists like we'll go under if we dont.
  22. If you banned all the corporates and tourists they wouldn't sell out at £60 a shot. Thats what the 'branding' has done, ensured theres a high percentage of digicams and foreign rich bums on seats. Again Kenyons job, whoopee. Ask any Man United fan what they think of Kenyon and they'll tell you just how the commercial focus of team made them feel. Pre-season games were meant to be for fitness and the fans to see how their club has developed. But now they embark on tiring tours to the USA just to prostitute the brand and form links with Mickey Mouse and Pizzawank.
  23. I know. Just having a general moan about him really. It wouldn't be so bad if all of Kenyon’s increased revenue could help lower ticket prices, he’s welcome to talk about Chelsea conquering the world till the cows come home. But if we're going to continue shelling out £60 for the pleasure of supporting our local team, he can shove his globalisation banter up his arse.
  24. Thats my mum. Its when he opens his mouth and all that shit that we're supposed to fall for makes me reach for the sick bucket. If Roman wasn't such a tight arse we wouldn't need all this marketing bollocks. No sponsors. We could just be the best team in the world from playing the best football, without having to advertise the fact.
