Chelsea opened their Champions League campaign with a 3-2 win against Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge. Goals from Sjoeke Nusken and Guro Reiten put the Blues 2-0 up, only for Alba Redondo to pull a goal back for the visitors before the break. Mayra Ramirez, who played for Spanish side Levante between 2022 and 2024, scored Chelsea’s third and although Linda Caicedo came off the bench to make it 3-2 late on, Madrid slipped to a first defeat of the season.

Watched it again - brilliant by both keepers. Sanchez has redeemed himself with two game saving saves in 95th and 103rd minute, but he shouldnt have been put in that position v 10

Great to be at SB and see actual history being made - the stewards are still cunts though The test of whether we're back in the big time will be the Liverpool and Newcastle games coming up

Fans have reacted with anger and frustration after the sold-out Women’s Super League match between Chelsea and Manchester United next Sunday was postponed with just a week’s notice following the release of the Women’s Champions League group stage fixtures. Fans of both clubs labelled the decision a “farce” and an “embarrassment”, while the Chelsea Women’s Supporters Group said on X: “Absolute failure by the league. The club had to protect the players. We feel for all the supporters who have lost money on transport and hotels. As we said yesterday, it shouldn’t ever have got to this situation.”

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has backed Nicolas Jackson to turn into a £150 million player for Chelsea. The 23-year-old joined Chelsea in a £32m deal from Villarreal last year and has scored 21 goals in 50 appearances since his move to England. Jackson has made an impressive start to the new season, with four goals in five Premier League matches so far. Hasselbaink believes Jackson can become one of the world’s best strikers at Chelsea if he gains ‘top-level experience’ by playing in the Champions League. ‘I like Nicolas Jackson a lot,’ Hasselbaink told Genting Casino. ‘Not just because he’s playing at Chelsea, but because he causes defenders so much trouble. ‘He scored fourteen goals in the Premier League last season. That’s not a bad return in your first season in the Premier League. A lot of the goals he scored were in 3-0, 4-0 games, sot the challenge to him is to score goals when your team really needs you – be the difference-maker – and that is what he is starting to do this season. That is when a striker really earns his money, the games where the pressure is on your shoulders to win your team the game. I want to see if he can handle that pressure every week. AP News

Shit had no idea they had performed that well - and thats with offloading lots of their best players. Still think we're on a roll and can do them though.
