Oscar is one of my favorite players and I'm 100% positive that he will become amazing for us. I watch all Brazil games just because of this kid and he is without discussion the best player there together with Neymar. As other ppl write Oscar needs to play as a number 10 or in a more advanced central position. The best part of Oscars game is when he drops deep and builds up the play until he is around the penalty area where he can make an assist or even score a goal which he often does for Brazil. Yes, he is not there yet with Chelsea, but his talent is obvious if you watch Brazil. Kid needs some time to adjust to EPL and he only had one(!) season with us. Now he has Mourinho, he will start on a new season (and will know what EPL is about) and hopefully he will not be played out of position again.

Skipper - Luiz still only had one good season for us and it's not like he as been all amazing. He has only been alright if you consider the money we paid for him.. yes, he was our best CB but that only says something about our other CBs. Terry has not played that well and Cahill is per definition nothing more than okay - that's why a lot of ppl think that Chelsea need a new CB. 2 seasons ago we finishes 6th in the league and had the worst defense in our Roman period. Seriously, I love Luiz (I never said otherwise) and the only thing I said from the beginning is that we should consider 40 mio. for him because of the fact that he is not worth 40 mio. - and yes, I'm pretty sure a lot of ppl from other parts of the football community will agree here. I know transfermarkt is not always the right prices but I just used it since I see a lot of ppl on this site do it all the time. And hey, do you know better than them? Why don't you get a job there then? More ppl use transfermarkt than you for prices so even though the are not always right it's more reliable than what you think. Hummels will never go for even close to 40 mio. Why? Because he is not close to worth it. Luiz is not close to being a 40 mio. player aswell and that's why we should consider it - it's a ridiculous offer. But hey, I don't mind him staying at all. In fact I would love it - I'm just thinking about what players are worth and what not. I would still have Hummels over Luiz though. I love discipline in the defense and it's crucial not to make mistakes down there. Luiz don't fuck up that much anymore but you still have the feeling that it can go wrong everytime he is near the ball - I don't have that feeling with Hummels when I watch him. But that's just me, ppl have different taste. No doubt Luiz is more "spectator-friendly" with his step over tricks and curly hair though.

Skipper - the problem is that you don't know anything about how much the clubs want for their players. We only know the price until things are official. You just guess. That's why I said I used transfermarkt since it's a non-biased site that value the players marketvalue! You, as a chelsea fan, have another view on Luiz than 90% of the entire football community. This is where you and some other guys are wrong. Everyone else knows that 40 mio. is a super offer and most ppl don't think he is worth it. Heck it, he is only on around 26 mio. on transfermarkt. I know that transfermarkt isn't bulletproof or that players are going for the prices there, but as I just said we have to look at their marketvalue since we are not the ones that do the negotiating. And that's why I say those two players. And to the ppl who say Luiz is better because Hummels just had one(!) bad season.. if one bad season makes a player a bad player Luiz would be one of the worst CBs in high-level football since his first season with us was a nightmare with all his errors. Hummels has been amazing for years and one medium season doesn't change that.

It's easy to list 2 good CBs for 40 mio. Obviously we can't get 2 CBs that are both at the same level as Luiz but we could get one at the same level and a very good backup which we need at the moment. Hummels would be my first buy for the money. He costs 23 mio. according to transfermarkt (we don't know the real prices so ppl normally use transfermarkt) Then we would have 17 mio. left. We could get a good CB for 17 mio. (not Luiz good but Hummels would be the direct replacement). A quick example would be Mangala. He costs 13 mio. according to transfermarkt. Then we would even have 4 mio. left. And I talk to a lot of football fans that rate Hummels higher than Luiz - a lot of you guys are biased because it's a Chelsea player. Ask on other forums and a lot of ppl would say Hummels above Luiz. It's ignorant to think that only a few ppl rate Hummels higher than Luiz. Come on.

Zola - yes, that's what I think. In my head you are as wrong as you think I am. Who is right? Nobody - there is not an answer who is the better one so in the end it's about opinions. Well, I think Hummels is a better CB than Luiz. Obviously I wouldn't sell Luiz unless we were sure that we could buy Hummels. I'm not saying that I want us to sell Luiz just for the sake of selling him. All I'm saying is that 40 mio. is a lot of money and if the offer is real we should consider it. I love Luiz though and I wouldn't mind him staying at all - don't get me wrong.

With the money we have available now (Mou said around 30) and with 40 from Luiz we could get Rooney, Hummels and another CB or even DDR. Fair enough if ppl don't want it but no way it's stupid. No way. Edit: if Mou at the same time doesn't fancy Luiz that much (I think he is worried about his discipline) it just makes even more sense.

Zola - Matic was shit at the time so you can't do it that way. Benfica are just lucky that he turned out good for them. We would still earn money if you take his price plus the market value of Matic from back then. And 40 mio. is more than Luiz is worth Imo. That's why it's a really good offer.

No, it wouldn't be stupid to cash in for 40 mio. 40 mio. is a very very good offer and every player is for sale at the right price even if the club is not a selling club. It has always been like that everywhere. I love Luiz but he already told the public that he spoke with some brazil teammates about the PSG project and if he is not 100% committed to Chelsea I would certainly sell him for 40 mio. Get Hummels for that money and then another CB. We would get a direct replacement (Hummels is actually better imo) and a backup option which we actually need atm. All clubs sell players they love. The price just has to be right and this would be very good for our FFP balance.

If it's 40 mio. pounds, I don't care - sell him for that kind of money. We could get 2 top CBs for 40 mio.

Some injuries take a specific period of time and a good doctor can't change the time it takes for it to heal (not every injury ofc). At the same time a good doctor can't prevent a player from making the wrong twist in his knee or ankle.
