And I know Zambia are not world beaters but they did win the Africa Cup of Nations in 2012, surely that means something, does it not? Nah. We had Josip Weber in our nt once who scored 5 goals against Gambia . That said - Oscar is great - but this does not warrant a huge status increase imo.

Playing well! He seems to work hard and get his form back ...
-
Courtois, Alderweireld, Van Buyten, Vermaelen, Pocognoli, Witsel, Dembele, Chadli, De Bruyne, Mirallas, Lukaku #belwal Yup :-)
-
I don't know really .... That depends on the frame of reference, really. I know i tend to go to a belgian bias, but the love for Oscar was really big here last season even though he had to adjust still. Now, even though he is awesome here, he gets a deflected goal against Zambia and the words world class fall, also the Mata derogation. Comon, mate, this is a bit too strong. The doubt on Lukaku was much stronger btw .... KDB, every time he gets mentioned ... Ugh. War time against his fans. That said, I love the player. But, we lose pespective in this kind of debate. The perspective where all these guys are blue. That saddens me for a while now .....

You forgot the opponent was Zambia. I love Oscar - but if this was KDB, everyone was going 'BelgianFanboys!!' There is no room for nuance ...
-
I almost GIF-ed that .... but it was just too nasty
-
Exactly ..... It's always comparative, bipolar, two camp ingroup/outgroup stuff .... as if we don't support a team wherein they both play and preferably flourish.
-
True that!

Welcome James! Another fine addition to the brilliant Scottish contingent on here (except Ryan Davidson - he sucks balls )!
-
I agree + hopefully keep Hazard out of the starting 11 - I think he will play tomorrow as well, so with the nagging injury a rest would be awesome. Depth enough anyways!
-
Awesome player - robert and romelu .... What a set, so many options ..... But a LOT of water will flow to the ocean before this can ultimately become reality. So, fingers crossed and meanwhile I hope this does not become a perpetuously repetitive twitter infused Rooney/Falcao like thread :-)

He keeps saying the same to the Belgian press + Hazard repeated that in an interview. I don't think there is really a problem there.

Exactly, my friend. But I want us to win this league .... and I want people to develop. I mentioned this before, but there is a difference between being a manager (hired for result) and being a coach. We should all be aware of different roles - which is a good thing. For Lukaku - he could have done it here, I feel. Even though the NT coach was flabbergasted that a guy like him still lacked some basic stuff (the NT coach was a great belgian striker btw). For KDB - it is much more painfull for us Belgians. He is a confidence player and if you have a do or die mentality in which you start of on the wrong end of the bed. You die. So, yes. I have reservations about Mourinho. I don't think he is God. I think calling yourself The Special One is a bit .... meeeeh. But I do like his tactics, build up- take at the game because he performs - I feel his man management is trial and error though. Some called it natural selection on here and they are oblivious to what that is. Believe me, I know. So let's get back to Lukaku. Yeah, he sucks at that first touch - but his presence sometimes and his finishing is so out of this world that in the end - the result will be that Everton has done a great piece of business. The fact that Lukaku says and confirm that by saying he is going to score more then then Chelsea strikers shoudl be right up Mourinho's ally, no?

Not being a fanboy - and for Lukaku I am not a fanboy at ALL. But this is not true. Hjperdeath - we all have blind spots, no offense - but I felt one with you there. This is just last year. Source: Chelsea (NN), EPL Index Featured Article, EPL Index Statistical Comparisons We do take too much for granted, we think our opinions are reality. The only reality here is that Lukaku never had a chance to do it here. Yes, he is raw, but he perform everywhere he gets a chance. As we do NOT know how he would have performed with the support of Mou, we do NOT know how 'unready' he is for Chelsea. In regards to judging Lukaku, we need a bit of humility in my opinion. That boy is motivated as fuck, knows his limitations, watches as many games as you Hjperdeath (he is know for that) and has a skill set designed for goals (though it isn't tiki taka lmao). Let's give him break. And I hope Bushman gives you a break too. But he means well :-)

He was triple marked the first 25 minutes with the NT as well. Just see that vid above here. It took him a while to get going as well. I have no worries about him, he will come good. I feel his form is much more about 1) his usual slow form in the beginning and 2) the injury he was/is carrying for a while now impacting his pace and agility

It is true tbh .... But please .... stop before someone (colourblind) complains the belgian fan boys are at it again.

True KDB's confidence looks really shot ..... very worrying. Way to go for Lukaku though. He has the right mindset to go places.

If I were Belgium, Iยดd visit Jose for a chat. Promised him roses, gave him the middle finger. Nah ... We are too friendly as a people !
-
Hagahahaha !!!!! The kraken!!!!!
-
Yep .... He is having a good game. But damn ... We could use Witsel!
