whether they could go back up or not isnt the point, the fact is there are still players that play or the shirt. and whether they could not go back up to serie a is not the point, del piero even stated he would go down to serie c with juve if he had to. im sure players like buffon who are now earning 5-6mil couldnt go to another club and get much much more? but why doesnt he? he must love the club,no?
-
yes but would alex bring the same thing to the club within it? not just on the field?
-
that is ridiculous! my club is a perfect example of this, in 2006 my club went down to serie b and many money grabbers left but others stayed, players like alessandro del piero, gigi buffon, pavel nedved just to name a few. now of these players didnt love the shirt and play for it not money would they have stayed??? no, i beleive john terry is much like these players.
-
yeah its a retirement home over there, lol.
-
yes but why sell a player from which you get so much??? players that play for the shirt a few and far my friend
-
for everyone who is saying think of the money and crap like that what about the core values of a team? to make a winning team it takes much more than money it takes players that play for the shirt and not for the cash. whoever you would buy from the money from selling J.T. would most likely be a mercenary a player that comes for the money. why not sell other money grabbers isntead??? why sell a player that brings something no one else to the club?
-
very true, just because it has different qualities to the epl doesn't mean it is not as good or inferior.
-
im sick of hearing serie a isnt as good as the epl, they are two very different leagues! were not as good on paper but our strength is in our cohesion, we have a very tight bunch of players who have been through thick and thin together.
-
maybe, but then again we went for the win at the bernabeu so why shouldnt we here?
-
our line up will most likely be ---------------buffon--------------- molinaro -- chiellini-- legrottaglie--grygera nedved---sissoko--tiago/poulsen--camoranesi -----------del piero---amauri----------- you guys most likely will hurt us down the wings, shoudl be a tough game. so hard to predict. at the start im guessing we will park the bus but we wont be scared to attack, juve need to exploit our ability from set pieces.
-
juve were also interested in him, not sure if they still are but he is ment to be a pretty good player.
-
It would be stupid to sell him although maybe not at his peak he is still a very important player, a champion of the club. a talisman just like lamps. i think players that clearly love the club and have this sort of passion for the club should retire in that clubs shirt.
-
it seems Chelsea have lacked the end product all game, whether that be the shot, cross or final pass.
-
I thought it was unfair to take off quaresma, i wouldve taken off kalou.
-
quaresma sending in a few trademark crosses.
-
im watching some stream in spanish are there any english commentated streams lol?
-
To be completely honest im not a fan of any of the kits. although the white is probably the nicest. the home one just looks like a cycler or a rugby players top while the third just reminds me of one of inters 3rd tops i think it was 05/06.
-
important game here, you boys need to regain some form. i think you will win, maybe along the scorline of 2-0 i would like to see quaresma play as with inter he really wasnt given a good chance so im not going to judge him on the stint with inter. it will be important for him and you guys to get a good debut.

Anelka predicts all three English sides to go through.
SempreJuve replied to SempreJuve's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
i think it will be very interesting to see. as much as dont like man you i hope they beat inter. roma vs arsenal will be interesting and i could see roma winning although there form hasnt been the best. Chelsea vs juve though is wide open in my opinion. -
thanks guys.

Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka believes his team will beat Juventus in their Champions League last-16 clash - and that Manchester United and Arsenal will have similar success against Italian opposition. United face Inter Milan, while Arsenal take on Roma and Anelka is confident it will be the English sides who reach the quarter-finals rather than their Serie A counterparts. However, the France forward is well aware that Chelsea will have to contain the threat of his former international team-mate David Trezeguet who is back playing after a lengthy injury lay-off. "It's really bad news for us," Anelka told Gazzetta dello Sport. "I admire David, a goalscorer like few others, he was born to score. If you give him half a chance in the area he will take it. "It's going to be a very tough match, Juve are a really top team. Against Italian sides it's always hard, tactically they're the best in Europe. "If Chelsea don't find their feet, don't score a goal, we will be risking a lot. We have to score in the first leg, and especially not concede, so we can play for it all in Turin. "Juve are right up there with Inter. (Alessandro) Del Piero is an inexhaustible talent. (Pavel) Nedved, (Gianluigi) Buffon...all of them. "To beat this Juve, Chelsea have to put the maximum effort in." He added: "If I had to bet though I think it will end 3-0 to the English sides. Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal will all progress. "Just look at history. But anything can happen." Anelka currently heads the Premier League goalscoring charts with 14 - needing three more to match his season's best at Manchester City and Arsenal. However, Chelsea have shown signs of faltering in the league and the recent 3-0 loss to Manchester United saw them slip to third spot. Anelka knows the team cannot afford any more mistakes. "We're two points off United and Liverpool, the race is very open," he said. "But it is a very hard race. "Up until now we've had bad games against United, Liverpool and Arsenal. It's obvious that we can't continue dropping points against our direct rivals, otherwise we can say goodbye to the title. "On February 1 at Anfield we have to absolutely beat Liverpool." Recent reports have hinted that Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari's job could be on the line, but Anelka insists the former Portugal coach is the right man for the job. "He's Brazilian: he wants good football, attacking football, which is ideal for me." added the 29-year-old. "But he has only just arrived in England. He's still learning, English football is not like that of Brazil or Portugal." espnsoccernet. not sure if i shouldve posted this here or not.
