  1. I like Hilario, he doesn't complain but as a backup I have zero faith in him. His decision making is terrible.
  2. Sorry to go off-topic, but that's just ridiculous. You should watch some South American football before you make such comments. Brasilian football and South American football in general is very good. The talent already available and with the economy on the rise is enabling them to keep their brighter prospects and bring back former players to make the league even better. Of course, it's not as good as the EPL or the La Liga but it's still a very very good league. Now back to Oscar, I'm assuming there will be confirmation after the Seattle game, at least I hope so.
  3. Not too sure but the AC Milan of a few years ago, with Seedorf and Pirlo in the middle? That seems the same kinda idea I was going with, with Pirlo playing deep playmaker and Seedorf bombing on but returning to do defensive duties. Either way, the previous mentions are all nice too. Should be exciting to see what RDM has planned with all this exciting attacking talent on his hands. I'll let him 'worry' about this haha
  4. Yes of course, but I mean, you don't pay £25m (or so reported) for a player to sit on the bench. I assume he'll be very much involved this year. Like you said though, I expect an easy introduction into the team. I hope to see him and Lampard strike up an understanding so that they don't completely disregard their defensive duties, but I feel Lampard is very very experienced and his defensive positioning improved in his new role last season. With him beside Oscar it should be easy for him to learn from him. The thing with Hazard and the 3 behind the striker is I expect it will be very much dynamic. Although on paper he will be out wide, we've seen Mata can play there as can Ramires so I expect it will be as everyone has already assumed; a very fluid and dynamic 3 who aren't really stuck to a position, rather able to change position to confuse the opposition and exploit the spaces left behind for the deep lying playmakers/CM's.
  5. Looking forward to seeing him play with us. Have researched on him the past few days. Although not the quickest his ability to play the pass and his balance are very impressive. Already being touted to be the No. 10 for the 2014 World Cup for Brazil instead of Ganso, who for the last few years was being made out to be the next best thing alongside Neymar. Assuming RDM continues pre-dominantly plays his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation, then I see him playing the 2 in the middle as a deep lying playmaker with more license to bomb forward than Lampard. Although Mikel has improved and played fantastically well in the close season, we don't need to ALWAYS play a DM when playing lesser teams. Mikel was best suited to our more defensive shape and control of midfield in the last few games. Of course, Mikel or Romeu can and probably will play in the more difficult games where controlling the midfield and protecting the back four will be a higher priority. With front line like so: -----------Torres Hazard-Mata-Marin/Ramires ----Lampard-Oscar I feel our attacking play will be very very impressive, on par with Real Madrid and Barcelona (although with Messi they still outshine anybody as his ability to make a play out of nothing is unbelievable). Of course, Lampard is getting on a bit so I see him being told to play this deeper playmaker role (think Pirlo) which we saw when RDM became coach. With Oscar, I believe he will be bombing on like the Lampard of old with the 3 behind alternating and changing positions the short link-up play will suit his game. Just my opinion of course, but I'm very much looking forward to next season
  6. Easily Celtic. As a Scottish fan and supporter the Rangers supporters aren't nice. Growing up surrounded by them, you were either a Tim or Ger, then you really see who asssociates with a club (at least from my own view!). I realise you will get just as bad characters who support Celtic. Most my mates support them, it's just been something we've grown up with. Also, I grew up watching Henrik Larsson, the man was a god! Some Chelsea fans may have their Zola who made them like Chelsea well Larsson was the Celtic equivalent.
  7. Hi guys, new here but it looks nice. I'll aim to stick around. I also frequent the The Shed on the Chelsea website often. See you around!
