To be fair, they've done wonders with the work done around the stadium, and it's pretty decent around there now although I'm inclined to agree with you about the stadium.I do believe with a football club playing in there every other week, with hardcore fans it wouldn't be the soulless bowl it currently is.

Is it just me that's worried about us being in Wembley permanently???........
-
I'd much prefer Twickenham to Wembley. We are a west London club, not north London.

Winding up Qpr will be half the fun
-
He's correct 9/10 times, and his aunt works for Ken and Chelsea council, so he's someone I would pay attention too.
-
Kensal gasworks is a SERIOUS goer apparently.WHEN we get told expanding the Bridge is "unfeasible" that is the site they will throw at us....so I've been told.
-
Yep.When Qpr get their new ground we'll barely have the biggest stadium in west London. If their is a way of expanding the Bridge then let's do it, although personally I believe their is zero chance of that happening.
-
Out off all the sites mentioned battersea along with Kensal Green(old oak common) are no-go 's for me.Imperial wharf, Kensal gasworks and Earls court would be great.
-
Things are very quiet on the stadium front for us...only possible options at the moment is Earls court and Kensal gasworks. Here's hoping for some good news very soon

Cheers

I'd suggest a stadium and the crossrail will go hand in hand.Failing that you won't have 60k coming just out of Kensal Green station as Ladbroke Grove, Kensal rise and westbourne park are all close by. Once the regeneration of that part of North Kensington is done it will look just as classy as any other part of London(although nothing will ever beat our Stamford bridge), yes there is know nice looking cemetery as such but Kensal Green cemetery is one of the most historic and famous cemeteries in London. And you say it's a stones throw from wormwood scrubs, yet it's even closer to Portobello road, Notting hill and London's next bohemian area...Queens park. North kensington is not the greatest area in the world at the moment, but this is an area the Dave Cameron and his Tory cronies resided in before getting into power so I wouldn't say it was a shithole.Let's not forget sw6 30-40 yrs ago was a rough tough working class area. Now don't get me wrong in an ideal world we'd stay at the bridge and expand, but that not feasible...moving to Earls court would also fill me with pleasure...but that ship has sailed. Were running out of options and in the whole scheme of things I wouldn't say Moving to north ken is a bad idea, but alot will depend on the crossrail.

http://www.bluetinted.com/rod-crowley/dreaming-a-dream-by-the-old-canal/ I for one would be more than happy with this site.
-
Latest talk on twitter, is the Kensington gasworks/sainsburys site in north Kensington.I know the locals are still pushing for a crossrail station there, an idea that Boris also promotes. To be at the heart of a regeneration of a 67acre site in Kensington and CHELSEA, with a W postcode me, within spitting distance of portobello and in an area with a strong chelsea following...I'd take that.
-
So would I mate...just as happy as I'd be if I won the euro millions, but neither are gonna happen.
-
Problem is our only options are looking like white city and north kensington(gasworks).White city I'd be happy enough with, but even happier with north ken.
-
Expanding would be the perfect option, but not very realistic
-
We need to find a site...and fast. Spurs, and west ham will have bigger stadiums then us before long, qpr will almost equal us, it could be embarrassing.Only site left I can think of is white city , either the unigate site or linford christie stadium/scrubs. With qpr fucking off to Kensal Green/ ooc, I'd be happy with white city !
-
This topic is alarmingly very quiet.i fear spurs, west ham and even qpr will all have bigger stadiums than us in the next few yrs.
-
Maybe, but I did say earls court(sw5) was first my choice with kensal gasworks(w10) second and scrubs(w12) third....
-
We are a WEST london club hence the reason I'd rather scrubs or ooc then battersea or down the a3.as I've said before ooc would NOT be my first choice,I'd rather earls court, kensal gasworks or the linford Christie/scrubs site ahead of ooc.north west london like southwest ldn is split i.e sw postcode north of the river is west and south of the river is south london.Northwest london is split by the a5, anything east of the a5 is north ldn i.e hendon Camden edgware etc and anything to the west of the a5 is west ldn i.e kingsbury, harlesden and harrow. Don't get me wrong we do have an image to uphold but don't forget before its gentrification in the 70's Fulham was a rough tough working class area....

I wasnt talking about old oak common, qpr look set to have that anyway.wormwood scrubs/linford Christie stadium is south of ooc and is in W12,but while we're on the subject i would rather go to ooc then battersea or down the a3 as u suggest...at least it's still west london. Also this thing about it being like moving from a five bed to a council gaff is nonsense.believe it or not parts of nw10 probably isn't that far behind sw6 in terms of the cost of land, and lets not forget that battersea isn't the nicest place either.
