  1. Yep, we are bearing the fruits of the previous windows where we got Caicedo, Enzo, Cucu etc. But it's time to get serious and push for quality players again instead of penny-pinching random backup players - Jorgensen, Tosin, Felix, Kellyman, KDH and Caleb Wiley. Just go out and get the monster GK, CB and striker that elevates this squad. And maybe concentrate on couple of backups who would be willing to give everything for the club despite being in a squad role. But no, the club is looking at a 22-year-old winger who plays in the Spanish second division. Make it make sense!
  2. He seems good - that's why so many clubs are lining up to strike a deal for him and we are turning a nice profit out of it. Feel Maresca could have used him better - especially when we had injuries at CB and Cucu was suspended for a game. Seems like an off-field issue.
  3. Veiga is the only one that doesn't belong in this list imo. He's built like a tank and could have more minutes especially with so many injuries at the back I was surprised Cucu was suspended for a game and Maresca went with Disasi at RB and Gusto at LB - two players playing out of position. Instead of just plugging in Veiga at LB. Cost the team that.
  4. Enjoyed that Havertz performance tbh
  5. I know it started off as a joke but Arsenal are the modern day Stoke
  6. Have Paez and Estevao walking into the setup in the summer too
  7. I would have been happy if we got him - we clearly need a striker to rotate Jackson with - but not as high earner. Gyokeres is interesting if the club can push for him - seems to be the better striker on the market compared to Delap, Sesko, Ferguson, Boniface etc we have been linked to. Duran and Isak are options too but it's tough to sign them.
  8. I would argue he is. For reasonable money, I'd take him but not break the bank for him. He is not in the tier of players that you would pay over the odds to get Many teams wanted a striker in the summer - ManU, Arsenal, PSG and didn't go for him - other than the Saudi bids. Would be surprised if a big club goes for him for the main striker role.
  9. Yep, I'd argue it was fair given there was zero competition for him in the summer + club is not in the Champions League right now. It was Chelsea or bust for Osimhen and his stock has gone further down now since the summer.
  10. Because we wanted a fair deal. We could have got him if we paid the asking price but walking away is much smarter than paying 80+ million when there was no competition for him. Where the club fucked up is by focusing on Osimhen, we missed out on adding a forward If the club is serious about a target, we've seen they're willing to go get things done - Enzo, Caicedo, Cucu,
  11. He was so composed at CB. But I always thought he was a fullback at youth level, wasn't he?
  12. Nkunku to PSG and they loan us Milan Skriniar
  13. They didn't replace Gallagher with a sub-par player like KDH as suggested. They've upgraded.
  14. Fading in most games in the 2nd half Needed Lavia in there
  15. KDH is not filling the void left by Gallagher. He's never on the pitch and Gallagher played in all 38 games last season.
  16. What a horrific offside call when we were on a break
  17. Is he playing CB? Since Gusto and Cucu are there for FB
  18. Gallagher was starting week in week out last season. Do you see KDH starting right now? Don't know why you are comparing the two as if KDH was brought in to replace Gallagher. Badi Tosin and Disasi are not starting ahead of the first choice defense of Fofana and Colwill either. The board has not just spent on KDH, Tosin, Badi and Disasi. It was clear to everyone that KDH and Tosin particularly were bought in the summer as cover. Can't deny board has spent considerably to improve the first XI with Gusto, Cucu, Caicedo, Enzo, Lavia, Palmer, and not have limited players like Gallagher and Chalobah in it.
  19. Gallagher is nowhere near the quality of Caicedo, Enzo and Lavia Chalobah is okay but not close to Fofana or Colwill's level. We sold Omari Hutchinson and brought in Neto. I don't think they're overpaying for subpar replacements at all. If anything, it has helped improve the first XI
  20. Napoli showing interest is a sign that he's good ...
  21. Anselmino comes back to give cover instead of Disasi. But we should replace Fofana right away. Loan in Skriniar or sign another defender - Murillo There are reports linking us to Guehi and Tomori again but I'd only do these deals on the cheap Reduce wages and sign him to a reasonable contract if he's injured again.
  22. I will bat for Reece to stay despite the injuries. It is blind hope at this point but come on, he's one of the best academy boys we had. At 21, he was bossing a Champions League final
  23. There are some interesting contract situations Looks like Trent is off to Madrid at the end of the season. Dani Olmo maybe available now due to Barca financial issues. I'd replace Felix with him
  24. I'd say getting couple of players at 23-25 age band should be fine. Boehly-co's worst signings have been the older players : Koulibaly, Sterling, Aubameyang
