Me too, but RLC is obviously not fully fit and we are out of midfielders. Kovacic hasn't completed a full 90 yet, IIRC. Barkley did look gassed. I think those are the first 2 off the pitch for Jorginho and RLC.

It will be interesting to see if it's Ampadu or Kovacic in the Jorginho position. Kovacic is more technical, and that's what he wants there. I think it will be Barkley - Kovacic - Ampadu

My guess (if true) would be that if the new manager wanted him. You know we have this problem of buying players that fit a particular manager's strategy, then having to scramble when the next manager wants something totally different. Of course, you could just have some direction from the board and club philosophy, and say that he's either the type of player Chelsea want or don't want (like how so many Ajax players fit right in at Barca). But, well......

C'mon...it'll do for now, right? Back-up LB has got to be lower priority than an attacking mid-fielder, and we don't know about Hazard. I get your feelings though.

He's such a dirty little shit. Dier's more of a thug, but Lamela know's exactly what he's doing. He gave Kepa a little shove when he was collecting the ball (tried to make it look like he couldn't stop). He also stamped on Fabregas' hand a couple of years back when they lost their shit at losing out on the league. There's always a little cheap shot coming from him.

Yes, we do. With RLC as back-up. I had my doubts over RLC at the start of the season, but I think he's played well. I can't fault Barkley for his effort, but I just don't think he's good enough. I don't know what it is with Barkley. It's as if he's too afraid of losing the ball. His first move is to shield it, then pass it backwards. Did it time and time again against Spurs. I'd actually really like Eriksen. It's a shame that he's at Tottenham because I think he's class and the rest of the team are such cunts. I'm not sure which of the midfield 3 that Rabiot would play, but we have a numbers and quality issue there right now. So, if Sarri thinks it's a good move, and if the price is good, then I'm on board.

Well. We'll see how true this is once Higuain is starting. I have my doubts because it's not as if Emerson was playing in all the league matches that Giroud started in, if I'm not mistaken. If Emerson becomes the starter and Alonso is his back-up, I'm okay with us at LB (assuming what we saw was Emerson's level and not a big outlier).

Ah, yes. Forgot about that one. I'd probably rate the Emerson cross with the Kante feed as being pretty equal. With Emerson's cross, he did have a defender on him. But, he really owed Emerson for his work. With Kante's he was a step behind the defence, had time to take 2-3 touches, then went for the near post for some reason, with 0 pace. The funny thing, is that the Hazard on a plate chance and when he hit his own foot won't even go down as shots. I like looking at the xG stats, and those 2 won't even show up.

Which one was Giroud's worst miss? The one at the end of the match after Emerson beat his man so he could put it right on his head? The one where Kante played him in? The one where he just missed the ball after Hazard skinned Aurier and gave it to him on a platter? Any others I've forgotten about? Just for the record. I don't hate Giroud. I know what he does for the team and why he's here. But, holy hell.

I think people are building themselves up for disappointment. Best to expect Alonso and be pleasantly surprised by the team sheet if Emerson starts. Look at the start of this thread: People reacted to the team sheet as if we were told we were getting a second Christmas.
