Okay but is he shady person or someone who can be trusted etc?

Can anyone shed some light on Jim Ratcliffe? Like what exactly is he all about? He seems pretty determined to buy us going by reports in recent months.

Don't get why it has to either be attacking football or counter attacking football for us. Why can't we play both? The attacking football might not be Guardiola's kind but we have shown capability in the past of dominating, attacking opponents when needed to. I've always liked our tactical flexibility in the past, when we seamlessly switched between those two approaches depending on who we played.

We definitely need to rebuild the squad, that I don't disagree. We have needed it for years! But is Sarri the right manager to oversee this all? HELL NO! It might have been well documented but Sarri admitted that Higuain was having a fever. So why play him then? Point is, he wasn't 100% fit and he wasn't played from the start.
-
If we somehow win the Europa League win, then the board won't sack him regardless of the shit results in the league. If not, then he'll likely get the sack. Of course, that is assuming he doesn't get sacked before then...

Picking your best player is one thing but picking an unfit player is another. And what did Higuain even do on Sunday really? Think he had like 1-2 shots and that was it. What you said would have been on point had Sarri not benched Hazard early on in the season when he was just returning from the World Cup and an extended summer break.

The players are a problem and so is Sarri, who seems to make things worse every time. Call it shit luck or lack of due diligence from the board but we have had managers who make things worse every time, one way or another. Mourinho was hell-bent on creating drama, controversy, a toxic atmosphere around. Conte, who was actually doing alright up till January last season, but decided to sulk and stink up the whole place with his endless moaning. Sarri just looks like a clueless manager, one who is out his depth - can't understand what's wrong the team, blames players after defeats, admitted he can't motivate the players, uses one-dimensional tactics, makes like-for-like subs etc.
-
Who's asking for Sarri to pick Giroud every week? Higuain wasn't 100% fit. So why start him in a game that we needed to win?
-
Here's another "great" squad management from Sarri. Player not at 100% but decided to start him anyway rather than start the one high on confidence after scoring a hat-trick in midweek.
-
Still doesn't change the fact that Higuain has been somewhat underwhelming.

Problems on the pitch aside, I have no idea how Sarri has escaped criticism for his constant excuses after bad results. His go-to excuse these days seem to be about blaming the players' mentality after every defeat, nothing about himself or the tactics. How is this any different to, say, what Mourinho used to do? You can only blame the players for so long before the buck ultimately falls on the manager. And the worst part of his stupid excuses is that Sarri keeps on saying 'he can't understand what's going on'. He's almost a season into the job, how can he not have gotten grips with the team? How can he not understand the players' mindset? Where is his man management skills? It's a fucking joke that we have a manager at a big club who is clueless in solving problems on the pitch and also clueless is solving matters off it and only knows how to make excuses!
-
Azpi isn't a great leader, I'll give you that but if you're blaming him solely on the lack of leadership, fightback or whatever from the team, then you're essentially giving the other players a free pass for not having the spine, the balls to step up and take action when needed. Did you think our previous team succeeded simply because Terry was a great captain? No doubt he was a great captain but he also had the luck (in a good way) to play with many leaders in the team (Cech, Drogba, Lampard, Cole etc). This current team just lack the balls when the tough gets going and I'm not even sure Sarri is doing anything with his man management to try and change that. You can only blame the players' mentality for so long before the blame falls on the manager.

Careful guys. That common sense might just fly over some people's head.
-
If you compare Higuain to what we had after Costa, then sure, he does look decent but overall, Higuain hasn't been great really. All this praise about his movement, link-up play is almost like people used to praise Torres for working hard etc when he's supposed to be scoring the goals.
-
Kepa and the League Cup result/performance saved his arse really.
-
Looking forward to his Real Madrid updates over the next two weeks...
-
Almost a season into the job and he still can't understand what's wrong with the team. FUCKING HELL!
-
The international break is here! Perfect time to sack him but chances are the club won't do it!
-
He changed for a few games and now it's back to the same old shit. Enough is enough...SARRI OUT!!!
