We are living in absurd times and in an absurd world. All valid but CHRIST! Assuming when everyone is FIT and HEALTHY, I'd imagine Pulisic and Werner would be the top two choices for the LW while CHO would be the top choice or top two choices on the RW, which was where he played in his last few appearances and he linked up well with James down the right hand side.

Off topic but on the subject of Alonso, can't believe how some people have come to accept or think Alonso is acceptable to be our first choice left back. Scoring the odd goal here and there has somehow blinded people. Imagine trying to play progressive football but you have a left back who is slow, immobile, can't beat players for pace or 1 v 1 as the first choice. We used to have arguably the best English left back in Cole at that position and now people seem to think Alonso is okay. The standards have really dropped.

Genuine question - do you enjoy seeing Pulisic getting injured or something? We all know he doesn't have the cleanest of injury record but christ, in every such post from you, there's always 'Pulisic is injury prone'. You're making it sound like he's getting injured in every game! For all we know, the club staff may well sort out the problems that has caused him to get injured often in the past. As for CHO, it is funny you mentioned he'll get plenty of game time for CHO. Because he too has had injury problems this season and has played less than "injury prone" Pulisic. Will CHO become "injury prone" too? Also IF Willian stays on, then CHO may find playing time even harder to get.

I don't know. I don't pay close attention to it. And before you go on a rant at me, no, I am not suggesting how we should approach defending set pieces.

Neither is zonally. With man marking, you can at least point the finger at people if they don't do it properly. Zonal marking can be a cheap excuse used to forgo the marking responsibility.

Maybe a diplomatic answer but Lampard said earlier that he's not aware of any talks between the two clubs.

NO...FUCK THESE RUMORS WITHOUT PROPER SOURCES!
-
It's stupid enough when people post non-substantial rumors but can you folks at least include the source as well!? Just searched this rumor on Twitter and not even a reliable source mentioned it. Just some dumb ITK wannabes!

It was announced earlier today that people arriving in England from more than 50 countries will no longer need to quarantine from July 10. Germany certainly are on the list.

Tomori still not fit. Kovacic out injured with an Achilles problem. Will be out vs Watford and likely the next one as well.

Lampard's presser at 1:30pm UK time, for those (still) interested...

I mentioned 2010/11 because we went nowhere that season. We released a number of senior players and failed to refresh the squad. The only two notable players we bought in the summer of 2010 was Ramires and Benayoun (remember him?). Otherwise, the squad was old and stale. Even the signing of Luiz and a washed-up Torres in January 2011 hardly improved matters. The fact that we crashed and burned so hard the following season, despite the FA Cup and Champions League wins, only backed that up. There was simply nothing positive and there was no progression in 2010/11. So what we finished 2nd that season? We never looked like defending our title and the one chance we got to reel Man United in, we flopped against them at Old Trafford late in the season. We finished 2nd with 71 points, which is the same number of points as Man City in 3rd and just 3 more than Arsenal in 4th. We finished 9 points behind Man United and 9 ahead of Spurs in 5th - it was like neither here nor there. Furthermore, we got knocked out in the 3rd round of the League Cup (to Newcastle...), lost to Everton in the 4th round of the FA Cup and even though we got to the Champions League quarter finals, we never looked like overturning United, did we? Lost both legs and got knocked out in tame fashion. Winning the FA Cup was nice but apart from that, there was nothing nice to enjoy from that season when the manager basically gave up midway through the season and spent much of it moaning endlessly about the board, transfers etc.
-
I wouldn't? I would probably add in 2011/12 but that was saved by the FA Cup and Champions League wins.

Mourinho's 3rd season has come early...
-
Yes, in the league.
-
12 apparently. Joint fourth-most in the league.

The problem is, this defence cannot be trusted. They can play like gods in one game and then play like clowns in the next. Also, not sure restricting Leicester is much of an achievement given they have been struggling for goals anyway.

I don't understand when people say Hazard misses Chelsea just because he's not having the best of seasons due to injuries. He wanted to play for Real Madrid and he decided to go there. Highly doubt he would be looking back with regret or wishing he hadn't gone there. He wanted to fulfill his dream and he is doing it. Still got chance to make an impact in the long run, despite his unfortunate debut season. Also, had Hazard not wanted to go to Real Madrid, I doubt we would have bought Pulisic and if we had both in the team, am not sure we would see the Pulisic we are seeing now because Hazard would be occupying the LW spot and Pulisic is not as effective on the RW as he is on the LW.
