Is Lampard Sarri in disguise?

Am really curious to know whether all the players are actually convinced by Lampard's grand plan, his ideas, what he wants to do etc based on what we've seen so far. Would be nice if The Athletic had maybe tried to explore this angle instead of seemingly painting a rosy picture every single time...

Do we even know what our best XI is? I mean, Lampard has constantly made so many changes to the side, it's hard to know who is first choice and who isn't anymore. And close to best XI or not, we still put out a strong team compared to what Spurs put out and yet, we were horrible. Once Spurs suddenly started applying more pressure in the second half, we had no answer and we looked clueless. The sideways and backwards passing in injury time summed up the clueless performance.

A Dutch manager? No thanks.

Pulisic and Ziyech are good players but if we need them to play well, to defend well, to pass well, to look cohesive, then isn't that a problem?

But the main reason we bought him is to score goals and we're wasting him out wide where he can't really do that. And no, he is not a winger at all.

I know there was a lot of talk of Werner likes to drift in from the left wing but FML, he is wasted out there based on how he is used at the moment. Operating like a winger more than anything.

Granted, Spurs aren't helped by the fixture congestion but they played their second team, we played somewhere close to our best XI and yet, we were awful for most of the game. We got the goal and that was it. Rarely threatened until some moments towards the end. Otherwise, we didn't even put them away. We made Spurs' second XI look decent.

But you're talking about ifs and buts here, which one easily make about other situations that happened.

All good with having Jorginho and Kovacic to control possession in midfield but FML, is it too much to ask for them to pass forward instead of backwards or sideways!?
