  1. The point is the fatigue may start to set in once you add up all the games that have been played and will be played. And it's not like players will many, if any, days off between games.
  2. Am sure there is one from the long list of U21 players... https://www.premierleague.com/news/1869523
  3. IF we get 9 points out of 9 from the next 3 games - Krasnodar and Rennes (x2) - that should be enough to see us qualify for the KO stage before we go to Sevilla in the 5th game...
  4. Would like to think it's not his intention to do so but his comments are the kind of comments that could stir an unnecessary shitstorm.
  5. Easy to say we can press them but how often our pressing has been effective? If we don't get it right, we'll risk getting countered and thrashed like what happened in the opening game last season. And this isn't even about Sevilla. It's how we are operating as a unit. Right now, it feels like we'll be good in attack or bad in defence OR bad in attack or good in defence. We can't seem to find the right balance. I'd rather we play it smart and not play right into United's hands by doing anything stupid because that's how they easily beat us 3 times last season.
  6. That's because if one goes down to COVID, the rest may have to isolate and miss games. That is why Cech is training separately from the rest of the team to avoid an outbreak affecting all the keepers.
  7. We couldn't even beat a crap team like West Brom...
  8. The question is, do we open up and attack them or sit back and play on the counter?
  9. But that was at the Emirates, not Old Trafford...
  10. Still, wins can breed confidence. And it's not like we're high on confidence now either!
  11. And as Tomo alluded to above, Kepa has had his chances but he has continued to fuck up those chances every single time.
  12. Just our bloody luck that United have suddenly gone from looking totally shit to decent again after 2 wins, including 1 at PSG...
  13. At the risk of jinxing him, it's nice to have a proper left back for a change!
  14. Let's see what happens before we start jumping the gun.
  15. I suppose Krasnodar away next week will be the best game in this stupid schedule for us to rotate but I am slightly concerned that Lampard might run Havertz and Werner to the ground here. They have been playing a lot of games for us and Germany and will continue to do so in the coming weeks and months. Given they are key players, we need to be absolutely careful with them. Guess the same can also be applied to Chilwell, Silva.
  16. Inclined to agree with that but the question going forward is, can we be threatening going forward while still looking defensively sound at the back? Because at the moment, it feels like we'll either be exciting going forward but horrendous defensively or horrendous offensively but solid in defence.
  17. Manchester United 0-0 Chelsea PRE/POST-MATCH DISCUSSION, LIVE CHAT AND ANALYSIS 2020/21 Premier League Match 6 24th October, Saturday 2020 Old Trafford 17:30 Kick Off (UK time)
  18. 63 games in as Chelsea manager and finally we have our first 0-0 under Lampard...
  19. It's still nonsense. What does Lampard expect them to do with so few minutes remaining?
  20. The game perfectly summed up in one image...
  21. Those injury time subs of Abraham and CHO were a joke by the way. What's the point of making changes at that point of time!?
  22. Depending on whether you are a half glass full or half glass empty person... It's now just 3 wins from 8 games in all competitions this season, with only 2 wins in the last 6. But, it's only 1 defeat from those 8 games and it happened after going down to 10 men.
  23. Not sure if that's a point gained or two points dropped. Point gained because it's Sevilla but two points dropped because it's at home and they were kinda there for the taking. Defensively better than Saturday but offensively horrible in general.
