  1. lol His info is slightly wrong. Gilmour on bench...
  2. I'm not convinced for one second given Lampard has been making strange tactical decisions and has been playing square pegs in round hole. He went overboard with the chopping and changing last season but at least he was flexible. This season? He seems to hellbent to just stick with the 4-3-3 even after hitting a period where it's not quite working as well as before.
  3. Everton v Man City OFF tonight apparently. COVID-19 cases at City.
  4. Not saying having an experienced manager is foolproof but at least an experienced manager has something to fall back on during tough times. Lampard doesn't have that. We have a somewhat inexperienced team but we also have an inexperienced manager. This is basically a case of the blind leading the blind. That's just stupid, no? How can Lampard spend 100 million on new players to fit into his Plan A, only to suddenly change to Plan B and have no clue how to fit them in? What kind of planning is that!?
  5. Costa gone Costa again... I guess this is what some people want back, aye?
  6. He's been out of the side and no one is talking about him but the Havertz situation also needs to be addressed. Just like Werner, I don't think Lampard knows how to use Havertz either. Granted, Havertz got COVID-19 but that aside, he has been used in so many different positions and despite his potential, we have yet to really see a game where he has shown what he can do or maybe even offer glimpses of it. It's almost as if Lampard bought them to just abuse their versatility without any actual idea how to get the best out of them. I seriously want to know what Lampard told those two when trying to persuade them to join us. Maybe not but do you think we can at least play better football than what we're seeing now? Ever since the turn of the year, a lot of our attacking play has boiled down to sending balls out wide for players to just dump crosses onto the head of Abraham or Giroud. There's very little variation, creativity and ingenuity in our style. And not to mention, we had to heavily rely on a 21-year-old last season to carry us into the Top 4. Given Lampard has been able to spend way more than any Chelsea manager could - since Mourinho 1.0 IIRC - and that we are 18 months into his regime, I don't think it's wrong to expect more than what we're seeing. There were reports earlier this year saying that this is a 3-year project to get us back to challenging for the league title and Champions League and assuming if true, do we even close to getting to that stage halfway through the 3 years?
  7. CHO is already guaranteed to start. Lampard confirmed it after Saturday's game.
  8. What obvious writing. Naturally if we were to lose our next 2 games, one assumes Lampard's neck would really be on the chopping block then but I would rather believe an English source rather than a German source when it comes to that. People have been widely talking about potential replacements but the funny thing is we haven't heard a single thing about Lampard getting the sack (yet), certainly not from the English media. If we go back to winning ways today and beat City for example, then Lampard will definitely be nowhere near getting the sack and all the talk will be moot.
  9. Oh it is a problem when all we do is give the ball to James to spam crosses onto the head of the Abraham or Giroud. There is very little to no variation with the kind of crosses we put in - we have even put high crosses into the box for Werner, Pulisic etc to win in the air FFS! - and we only do it from the right side.
  10. 5 games. W 3-1 Brighton - Won the penalty for the opening goal D 3-3 Southampton - Scored twice and assisted the other D 0-0 Sevilla D 0-0 Man United W 4-0 Krasnodar - Won a penalty (which Jorginho failed to convert). Scored one (from the penalty spot) and assisted one The Sevilla and Man United were the ones Lampard parked the bus of course.
  11. Saw that their last shot on target was in the 21st minute and their last shot was in the 59th. I mean that is fucked up football. Mourinho is really taking his park the bus approach to the extreme right now.
  12. Spurs had only 1 shot in the second half. It seems like Mourinho's football has become even worse/more boring than when he was with us?
  13. Are Spurs fans really happy with the kind of football they're seeing under Mourinho?
  14. Conte got the Inter board to fully back him in the transfer market and his biggest "imagination" was to buy old, average, washed up players. #justsayin
  15. What do you expect coming from him?
  16. Considering Conte also wanted dross like Llorente and Candreva, I am glad that we didn't follow through with his signings.
