The players always look dead on their feet in the game following a free week - or close to a free week. I am sure there are some who would still rather blame the players but if you don't believe me, go look at the some of the results and performances last season. A free week always gives Lampard the "chance" to overwork the players and it's also why we always seem to get a random injury or two after no game in midweek.

And back to being 4 points worse off than at this stage last season...

But I don't think it helps when they also have a young and inexperienced manager leading them. It's like the blind leading the blind. It seems to be Pochettino and he is still available right now but looks set to replace Tuchel at PSG. Otherwise, all the other choices are at a club right now and I'm not sure they would want to jump ship mid-way through a season.

How are we ever going to challenge for the title, never mind win it, if we keep producing this kind of results against out of form or poor teams under Lampard?

But what's the point of respecting a manager if that manager doesn't even know how to get the best out of the players? Am sure players also know that when they sign for a club, they sign for more than just to play under a manager.

Funnily enough, it was at a similar stage last season that we lost 4 games in 5 (games 13-17): L 1-2 Man City L 0-1 West Ham W 2-1 Aston Villa L 1-3 Everton L 0-1 Bournemouth Same thing happening again (games 12-15): L 0-1 Everton L 1-2 Wolves W 3-0 West Ham L 0-3 Arsenal *

I wonder if those players he signed are starting to have doubts because no one can say Lampard has been playing a system that even brings the best out of them.

That's the thing with Lampard's use of Werner. It's great and all when and if Werner is scoring goals but if he isn't, then what does he even contribute to our attack from wide areas? Nothing but Lampard has continued to put square pegs in round hole. Whatever that was working 2-3 weeks ago certainly isn't working anymore but Lampard is still trying to force it. What's that thing about insanity again? Also have we actually improved on last season? People will point to the improvement in results in same fixtures vs last season but all the bad things that we saw last season are resurfacing again. Come up against half decent sides and our attacking play boils down to crosses from James or individual brilliance from someone.

Spent more than 100 million on new attacking players and we're back with playing a front 6 from last season, including a Sarri midfield setup!

Think he meant Chilwell may not be fit to play the full 90 after his injury on Monday. I mean, we don't know if he's actually 100% fit/okay or Lampard is risking him...

Arsenal are 3/1 to win this game. A tempting offer...

Hope that Chilwell and James are actually both to fit play and not Lampard rushing them back from injury. Otherwise...
