  1. Allegri has only been away for around 18 months, not too dissimilar from Pochettino and people wanted Pochettino. It's not like football has drastically changed either. Plus, he has been learning English ever since he left Juventus and there have been reports saying that he wants his next job to be in the Premier League. I wouldn't mind Allegri, if only because he is a tactically flexible manager. Otherwise, I have my doubts about his playing style and it suiting this team. But hey, surely he'll make us play something more attractive than spamming crosses into the box, right?
  2. He was reportedly wanted by Guardiola in the summer.
  3. Where's that points comparison with last season?
  4. Lampard doesn't know what to do with the team. Period.
  5. In some ways, I can see why Lampard took the job but on the other hand as @Mana said, he could have just said "no" and continued to improve himself first. If he does well enough, then surely the job will come to him at some point. You brought up Steven Gerrard the other day and he's a good example of learning the trade elsewhere first, improve himself as a manager and potentially take over a big club (likely Liverpool after Klopp). Whether Gerrard will become a great manager remains to be seen but at least he is giving himself a platform and building the experience now for the future. The same can't be said about Lampard and if he gets sacked, he will have to go rebuild his career at a smaller club and start from scratch again.
  6. He's really scraping the barrels for excuses here...
  7. Every game is different and all that but we beat Man City back in June with this starting XI: Kepa Azpilicueta Christensen Rudiger Alonso Barkley Kante Mount Willian Giroud Pulisic But lost badly to them with this starting XI... Mendy *** Azpilicueta Zouma Silva *** Chilwell *** Kante Kovacic Mount Ziyech *** Werner *** Pulisic [*** = new signings]
  8. I guess both threads can do the job but have reopened this one...
  9. Only top half side we have beaten this season is West Ham. They are 10th and we were lucky to even beat them.
  10. Have they been saving that piece for the eventual defeat today?
  11. Oh look, we delivered a low cross and we scored! What a shocker!
  12. If the club want to sack Lampard, they should probably do so ASAP. We have 1 week till the FA Cup game and 2 weeks till our next league game. Plenty of time for the manager to work on things...
  13. Anyone saw CHO deliver a high cross to Pulisic on the far post there...?
  14. I swear to fucking god...we have Werner and Pulisic inside the box and we are just trying to spam high crosses into the box. I mean...WHAT THE FUCK!? ARE WE THAT FUCKING CLUELESS!?
  15. If anything, it just showed that we can't play any other way under Lampard apart from spamming crosses. Maybe Werner upfront in a 4-3-3 was never going to work but we never really gave him the right kind of service, have we? We still tried to spam high crosses into the box, we still passed like 500 times between midfield and defence before the ball even goes into the box. We do all of this knowing well Werner thrives on space and quick passes being made to him. City were arguably one of the few opponents where he can exploit their weakness but alas, we still try to spam crosses and inshallah.
  16. It was a dead rubber, featured a much changed side and the performance was underwhelming but who knew that Krasnodar game at the Bridge was a prelude to the mess we're seeing right now.
  17. If you're gonna trot out those "reasons", then I'd rather you do it from the start as opposed to suddenly trot them out once your initial reasons go out of the window.
  18. Is that new? We also had games last season where we started brightly and then just faded off badly after that. Last season's FA Cup final is a good example of that. If it happens once or twice, you can put the blame on the players. But if it keeps happening over and over and over again, then you gotta look at the manager and the coaching staff.
  19. First, you have always said things will improve when Ziyech gets back. Now that he's back and things are still shit, you now say it's because we have a rubbish midfield basically. If we get a creative midfielder next and things still don't improve, then what? Are you gonna question why we're playing with 4 defenders!?
  20. Is that the case or are we just a badly coached team? What we're seeing now is no different to some of the shitshow we saw last season, no? 18 months into Lampard's time here and we're still seeing the same BS, just with more than 200 million spent!
  21. Who knew it would remain as predictable as this? Everyone in the team is just braindead now. We played better football in the first 5-6 months under Lampard.
