We did. Most of the league defeats last season came before a Champions League match but on the other hand, none of the league games after a CL match (in particular the group stage games) were all big games like the ones we have this season.

Maybe the secret is to play like crap if we are to win there. When we seem to do well against them, we can't get the right result..

Precisely. And like I pointed out previously, immediately after 4 of our 6 group matches, we'll be facing City, United, Liverpool and Arsenal with the first three being away games. Having to play 2 big games and potentially high tempo and intensity ones in 3-4 days is rather suicidal, when we can (hopefully) avoid such scenario.

Funnily enough, that is our one and only win from the last 6 league trips to Goodison Park.
