Played today but went off with an ice patch to his leg. Not sure how bad it is.

Assist from a corner in the Bremen game (still ongoing)
-
Started again today and nearly scored - hit the post and then the 'keeper saved it. Sounds like he had another good game - someone on Twitter describes his style as a 'Berbatov-like nonchalance'

Stupid

Got another assist as well. That is 4 goals and 4 assists for club and country in his last 9 appearances. He linked up with Hazard and sent a good cross into the far post.

Media trying to put 2+2 together.

Where did KDB play ?

On loan Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran has added defensive strength as well as the expected attacking flair to Middlesbrough, according to manager Tony Mowbray. The nineteen-year-old is currently on a season-long loan from the Champions League winners and continues to impress with his natural ability at the Riverside. "He is a wonderful footballer, very easy on the eye and it's very rare that he gives the ball away," Mowbray told the Evening Gazette. "He picks the right option and the right pass. Josh will only get stronger and uses his body as best he can defensively as well. "You can see he is a waif of a boy and yet he is strong," he added. "I think he has developed the fact that he has to be bodily strong, otherwise he would just get knocked about." More Watford fans saying nice things about Chalobah: "Very assured on the ball with a good range of passing and is able to make room for himself. Much more suited to midfield at the moment IMO, but will make a good defender when he bulks up." "Has played brilliantly so far, you'd never know he was 17 and you'd never know the game vs Bristol City (I think it was, memory failing me) was his first ever senior game. He's very assured on the ball, confident and strong, can really drive forward and pass too. Reminds me quite a bit of Yaya Toure more than a centre back." "Chalobah has been excellent for us in the short time he has been here, the first time I watched him play was against Bristol City where he got man of the match in that game, he has been very confident and composed and he always wants the ball I would say he has been one of our most important players in the last few games and has helped us turn results around. In my opinion he has definitely been more impressive in the midfield than defence which has surprised me as I was expecting him to be more of a centre back. Before seeing him play I was unsure about the signing mainly because of his age although admittedly I didn't know much about him, but he plays like a player who has been playing senior football for a while." "Only seen him live once v Bristol City. Very impressive, great touch, vision, passing, I don't see him as a CB though. Apparently made a few poor passes Tues but he's young and inexperienced and locallish games are pressured environments so understandable. I imagine its doing him good and keeping him grounded to be playing and developing alongside the Udinese starlets Forestfairy, Batteredchops etc who are all equally impressive." "He'll be an England international sooner rather than later if he carries on his progression as I thought with Cleverley when he was here on loan. His quality of play is no surprise to me. Very versatile indeed and he can operate as a defensive box to box midfielder and as he matures drop into the defence." "I think he has been outstanding and when you take into account his age, he's been even better than that. He reminds me of Carlton Palmer but with much better skill and technique in every area!" "He has as said previously give the ball away on a few occasions, but I have yet to see such an influencial young player in a Watford shirt since John Barnes came on the scene. Totally different players, but he oozes quality - for someone so young to have the confidence he has, it is no wonder he makes a few mistakes - but he is one of those players who you feel would make the entrance money to any game worthwhile, just to see him play. He came on late in the game at home to Brighton and his impact was instant, played well against Bristol City (not sure he was worthy of MOTM, but...), did failry well by all accounts up at Hudders' and was, in my eyes, excellent against Charlton - yes, he misplaced a few passes and got caught in possession once or twice, but one run in the first half which took him through the heart of their defence into a good goalscoring position (only to pass it off) was fantastic. You've got a star in the making there, no mistake. I just hope you'll leave him with us for the season and then get him in your first team next term. Hopefully he can remain injury free, the play time must be doing him the world of good." "He is playing to a level of at least 7 years more experience than his age. If he can maintain this, he will be part of the England Senior set up in his 20's"

Thanks zoo

Some of the West Brom fans getting annoyed at him apparently. Been told that some are calling him lazy, and another compared him to Ishmael Miller.
-
I know that. But we already have players like Sturridge and Moses who provide what Marin provide. Again he didn't even make the bench and again we didn't miss him at all. KDB could add more depth in CM - which we do need espiecally with Oscar playing as CAM - as well as being able to cover the front three in an emergency.
-
Yet again hearing good things about him. Apparently he outperformed McEachran today. Someone on twitter described him as 'head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch'. Hard to believe the guy's just 17, only Sterling is making more progress at the same age in the top two English leagues IMO.
-
TBh I would have preferred KDB to Marin. Marin has been struggling to even get on the bench since he was fit for the Wolves game, and with so many forward players he seems surplus - we haven't missed him at all.

CHELSEA LOANEE Nathaniel Chalobah has proved something of an instant hit at Vicarage Road, displaying a coolness and authority well beyond his 17 years. As the Sierra Leone-born midfielder-cum-defender explains, agreeing a loan move to WD18 on transfer deadline day was a no-brainer: "Michael Emenalo, the chief scout, and Roberto Di Matteo said they would let me go on loan this year so it was a good move to come to Watford,' confirmed Chalobah. "I didn`t want to go to a team where I wouldn`t be able to settle in and do the things that I usually do. Coming here was the best thing I could possibly do because Gianfranco and his team are trying to play football." Despite not making his professional debut until arriving at the Vic', Chalobah has been making waves on the international scene for a number of years now, having debuted for England's U16s at just 13. Playing at centre-back, Chalobah helped England to a memorable U17 European Championship win two summers ago, an extremely proud occasion for six-footer: "I don`t really know what to say. It was amazing, amazing! We were the first age group to win it since the likes of Paul Scholes so we made it into the history books and we were all very pleased." Extract from the Chalobah interview in the Watford match programme today

Worth taking note he took that free kick with his left foot, all 3 goals he's scored for Bremen have been with his left. Two-footed :-)
-
He has just scored again Bremen, with a 40 yard free-kick. Before you get really excited, it was more like the Mata free-kick against Arsenal apparently in that it just sort of went past everyone, but still, that's 3 goals and 2 assists in 7 games...easily been our best loanee so far this season, and we've had good loans thus far.

West Brom fan (I think) writing on a blog, basically saying Lukaku is doing pretty well so far: http://www.o-posts.net/news/teams/uk/chelsea/romelu-lukaku-on-loan-chelsea-man-settling-west-brom/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+O-posts-news+%28O-Posts+-+Football+News%29

He reminds me of Toni Kroos abit, except faster and more tenacious, and more flair. He started out as an attacking mid but as far as I know has settled very well in a deeper role for club and country, though he still plays in his original position a lot as well. It's probably likely that's what de Bruyne, and sadly Oscar, will so for us.

Torres was decent today. People going over the top because of the goal. He still ran down the channels rather than actually stay in the middle and some of his touches/decision making was terrible. Mind you if he carries on getting goals it'll be fine.
