That may be sort of true but if your building a team you always start from defence and go forward imo.....you make sure you are resolute and build upon that. As you said we dont do either super well, If we are to persist with this defence of ours then we need a proper DM on top of Kai just to hide the shambolic defending.

Yes they tend to up their game I can agree on that, but we help them out greatly as well, very rarely do we instill fear on opponents For sure, I have said it many times that you build from the back, when you are solid and organised you always have a chance to win. Forwards win games, defences win you titles.

Maybe the fault is ourselves mate, we make them look quality more often than not.

Well if we blow top 4 then its far from a succes either especially being in it all season. I have seen good things I can admit that, I can admit we have dregs, but I can also admit FL is overthinking too often, he does not know how to set up a defence, I have never seen a Chels defend like that in any season. Like I said I will give him next season but I highly doubt more forward power will hide our inability to defend and move as a unit, that requires better coaching. You cant just say well he is changing our style and thus we look like clowns, not at this level you can not. Lets see hope for the best, whats most crucial atm is we get CL spot, then we can talk about progress etc. Right now we have no vision, only tinkering after tinkering. SU does not have better personal than us, but we made them look like prime AM. Can more talented defenders help? Most definitely, can more talented defenders setup themselves tactically?Nno that comes from the manager, that's his damn job.

I get that I really do and wish him the best for Chels, I just see too many red flags. Changing the style is one thing, being clever with your tactics in a time where you need pts is another. Has made tons of mistakes with no remedy as of yet, he still does not know his best 11, keeps changing the line-up every game, has a love in for some of them players. He is a rookie I get that but he needs help badly, and he needs to be more ruthless. Iwill give him next season, if we can see progress etc its all good, if its the same mistakes then he aint it.

No that doesnt fly this season, this has been a shit PL season and we have been in top 4 almost the entire time, we have lost blown games in incredible fashion. I'll say again he will get next season then we can judge but many of us are seeing red flags and they aint going away, actually its getting worse.

Then explain how worse defences look astute compared to ours, explain how they can do the basics and we cant. Its clear defence is not his priority, if not then bench those that repeatedly fail the team, play more compact etc. We all knew SU was gonna be tough right? Then how in the hell did we come out so lifeless and devoid of energy? We should have been compact and solid and hope to nick it yesterday considering we need every damn pts, not only did we do the opposite but in the worst way possible and he didnt change until it was too late. I want him to do so great with us I really do and he will get next season but there are a few red flags consistently from the outset.

We can look super nice vs some teams and look super ugly in others like today. Shameful how we did today as if top 4 is in the bag and even then its not acceptable.

I doubt we will ever see the best of RLC again, I dont see it. Sell Ross and Jorgo, buy Kai and Partey. Instant improvement. That would give us Kante Mount Kova Billy Kai and Partey for midfield.

Hope is all we got my man....we need 2 CB's now, a LB. Sell Jorgo and get Partey and Kai if possible. Of course a defence coach too. Then we might get alot better defensively.

Exactly my point too....this is a pattern. Yes we may have a shitty defence but not this shitty, this is something else on top of that. In no shape or form is our defence worse than Arsenals.

Mate its clear they are not managed well defensively, that much is clear. You remedy by coaching them proper, making sure we move as a unit to protect them if need be, stay solid and in shape. That alone gives you a alot......practice set pieces to death, motivate them when needed. Put them on the bench if they keep fucking up, he has to set the standards higher than this. I dont for 1 min believe we cant defend better.
