  1. I still maintain that Schurrle is and always will be an impact player from the bench. That's how Loew used him in the World Cup and he was an absolute boss when coming on. He's essentially a better version of Kalou, and there is nothing wrong with that. You cannot expect 20 goals a season and an obscene work rate from all of our players.
  2. We're making less chances because we can actually fucking take them now. Like all strikers, Diego will blow hot and cold and whilst he will have little streaks like now (four goals in three games) and when he first joined (seven in four), he will also go weeks without goals. However you'd back him four times in five to stick the ball in the back of the net. With Torres, I would normally put money on him missing. Him scoring used to come as a surprise. Diego is the best possible striker we could have bought. Well done to Mourinho and the boys who made this transfer come to fruition. We have our striker for the next 5/6 years and he will easily score more than 100 goals for this club. He already has 17 in 25 games, ffs.
  3. Oscar isn't the most technically competent midfielder. That's why Fabregas is in the side. Oscar is an absolute work-horse and that's his role in the side.
  4. Like I said in a previous post, people "don't care" about the League Cup because it's the fourth-most important trophy. However I'd rather "just" win that "fourth-most important trophy" than fuck all, like last season.
  5. It was a poor, poor season, wasn't it? How United won the league with that squad is solely down to us being so abysmally shit.
  6. I only think he'll go if we sign reinforcements. An injury to Hazard or Willian would leave us with no recognised wingers on the bench should Salah be sold.
  7. Chelsea manager José Mourinho has ruled out talk of an exit for Egyptian international Mohamed Salah in the January transfer window. Salah, who had made only three starts for the Blues this season, only arrived in January 2014 alongside Nemanja Matic and Kurt Zouma as part of Mourinho's plans for long-term rebuilding. The former Basel man, who starred in the Swiss club's 2-1 defeat of the Blues at Stamford Bridge last season, has found opportunities hard to come by considering the form of Willian and Eden Hazard, and is behind Andre Schurrle and even midfielder Ramires and striker Loic Remy in the pecking order for a place out wide. Widespread media reports had indicated that the Egyptian winger would be set for a loan move this month, with Roma the most likely destination. Besiktas had been considered the favourites to capture Salah, but The Mirror yesterday reported that Italian giants Roma have entered the negotiations with an immediate loan offer, and the potential for a sale in the summer. However, Mourinho, speaking after Chelsea's 5-0 romp over Swansea, said there was next to no chance of Salah leaving. "He can't leave", began Mourinho. ""Didier Drogba was ill, Cesar Azpilicueta injured. I have a short squad. For Salah to leave we need someone to come". Mourinho had only 20 fit players to choose from for Saturday's match day squad, and even considering the side's lucky escape from any serious injuries thus far this season, Mourinho is cautious should a bout of ailments cripple his small squad. "I don't think we are going to let Salah go on loan. If that happened we would have to spend money to bring someone else in, so I don't think he is going." Mourinho has already explicitly stated there would be no new arrivals this month in an interview in December, but that has not stopped the Blues from being linked with a number of reinforcements. Alvaro Arebloa, a favourite of Mourinho's during his time at Real Madrid, has been touted for a switch to Stamford Bridge to offer cover to Branislav Ivanovic in the right-back spot, whilst young Internazionale striker Mauro Icardi is allegedly the subject of a £30 million offer from the Blues.
  8. That doesn't count since I omitted the season where we purchased Luiz and Torres from my memory.
  9. 649 and counting. Legend. Greatest player in the history of this club.
  10. Gutted he didn't get his hattrick but the more I watch it, the more I think that if Schurrle didn't touch the ball, Taylor might have toed it away.
  11. LESBEHAVINYOU. Massive game. This is a fucking semi final. People will "care" if we win fuck all, and then look back at when we could have at least won the League Cup.
  12. Chelsea moved five points clear at the top of the Premier League after a 5-0 thrashing of Swansea at the Liberty Stadium. The Blues were ahead after just 50 seconds as Oscar capitalised on some lacklustre Swansea defending to stroke home, before Diego Costa - who netted a hat-trick in the reverse fixture earlier in the season - added two well-taken goals in the space of fifteen minutes. Oscar, just moments later, then scored his second of the game with a glorious clipped finish to cap a flowing team move to see the Blues into a 4-0 interval lead, only for Andre Schurrle, a second-half substitute, to add a fifth with a close-range finish. With Manchester City not in action until tomorrow when they host Arsene Wenger's Arsenal, the Blues open up a temporary five-point advantage at the top of the Premier League, and now head into Tuesday's Capital One Cup semi-final first leg against Liverpool on the back of three straight wins since that debacle at White Hart Lane. Whilst Chelsea were quite simply stunning in a first half that best displayed their at times quite exquisite football, this was an abhorrent defensive showing from Swansea, and in the wake of Wilfried Bony's sale to City, the hosts were not even able to muster a shot on target for Petr Cech to save. Cech, again deputising for the not quite fit Thibaut Courtois, who is still recovering from a broken thumb, is now nearing 600 minutes without conceding a goal in league football after yet another clean sheet - his sixth in ten starts this campaign. Gylfi Sigurdsson played centre stage in the opening exchanges. After being robbed in the middle of the park by Cesc Fabregas, the Icelandic international could only watch, hands on head, as Oscar stole in to put Chelsea up inside a minute. The former Tottenham midfielder almost made immediate amends with a speculative shot that clipped the outside of the post after evading the dive of Cech - that would be the only time the Chelsea 'keeper would be at all troubled in this match. From that point onwards it was all Chelsea, albeit only after weathering a sound response from the hosts, who managed to maintain long spells of possession though without any obvious threat to Cech's goal. The much-maligned Oscar was enjoying another fine performance and soon warmed the hands of Lukasz Fabianski with a shot the Pole failed to hold on to, but Willian was unable to convert the rebound on the half-volley from twelve yards. That was an escape for Swansea, though the writing was on the wall when, after Oscar went close again with a drive that dribbled wide and Eden Hazard drew a full-length save from Fabianski, Diego Costa imposed himself upon the match in trademark fashion to net his sixteenth goal of a productive campaign. Capping another glorious team goal with deadly composure, there was nothing the former Arsenal goalkeeper could do as Fabregas exchanged passes with Willian and Oscar before perfectly teeing up his international colleague to double Chelsea's lead. Costa almost made it three when he dribbled unopposed from the half-way line before sending a curling effort just high of the target. Moments later, Willian's poor fortune in front of goal continued as he picked up a loose ball and smashed an angled drive against the inside of the post. For all of Chelsea's brilliance, they were certainly being helped by their gracious hosts, and just after the half-hour centre-back Federico Fernandez played an inexplicable pass-back that Costa read, before threading beyond Fabianski with terrifying ease for the Blues' third. Only a minute afterwards Costa turned provider, and the Blues all but put the game to bed when he was able to pounce on a loose ball. Passing inside to Oscar, the Brazilian gleefully accepted the opportunity - his shot was smashed high and handsome beyond the helpless Swansea goalkeeper. The Blues were denied a fifth goal either side of half-time: on the verge of the interval, Willian hit the woodwork for a second time, whilst Fabianski saved comfortably from Fabregas minutes after the restart. The second half was played at a walking pace with the Blues clearly leaving plenty in the tank for Tuesday's trip to Anfield, but they suddenly exploded back into life fifteen minutes from time as Hazard drew a sprawling stop from the goalkeeper with an angled effort. And Schurrle capped off the Blues' biggest away win in the Premier League since a 6-0 hammering of Wigan Athletic in 2010 when he touched in from close range after Branislav Ivanovic's pull back. 14. Yes. Also the correct word to describe my current feelings, tbh. These are there for the taking and we could - and should - have put ten past them by now.
  15. Will be disappointed if we don't add to our lead tbh, I appreciate we have Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday but GD could be pivotal come May.
  16. Fair to say my tweet has just banged hahaha
