  1. Scolari likes his wingers, afterall. I think a loan deal for SWP may be a good idea, but I say take the money while we can.
  2. CM, it has come to my attention that the club does it best to make itself look like a bunch of overpaid twats. They are doing brilliantly.
  3. Brilliant Absolutely fantastic read
  4. Agreed. Getting Scolari would see us with a good chance of signing Quaresma whom I know is attracting the attention of one or two of our members.
  5. Linked with a move to Olympique Marseille. He's returning from his loan at Sevilla at the end of the Euros. Source: Sky Sports Link: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11668_3669052,00.html
  6. Cech and Ujfalusi were phenomenal for the Czechs. I was impressed by Bosingwa.
  7. It was to be expected, or else he surely would have been given his marching orders long ago. Glad he is staying.

  9. My dad's been on one, he said it focuses on the psychological aspects of coaching more than anything.
  10. Italy stood still as Francesco Totti revealed his new-found love for cross-dressing.
  11. Choking on their own vocal chords, more like
  12. The annoying this was, he was brilliant playing 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 as a striker. If we'd have kept him through 07/08, he and Drogba would have been phenomenal.
  13. Looks like we're set to go foreign then. What's the source?
  14. Ronaldo won't leave anyway.
  15. Clarke and Zolo as a duo would be brilliant. If there is no confirmation from the club by tomorrow it is likely we will approach either Hiddink or Scolari after the Euros. If they turn us down, we really have no alternative but to turn to Clarkey.
  16. A lot of people have come to me and said they prefer this shirt to the kit of 06/08. Your thoughts?
  17. Well I struggled to narrow them down to six so much I had to include a seventh. I could have done more, but I completely agree with you Esk. One could vote in terms of importance and in terms of the most classy save.
  18. Yeah, its difficult not to palm the ball straight out in some cases.
  19. I don't really have one certain accent. My dad is from London so I sometimes speak like him, whilst my mum is from Coventry and lived in Tamworth so she has a very mild Birmingham accent. I've picked up a bit of a Derbyshire accent, so my sentences can be somewhat strange
  20. Very poor journalism. I don't see why he would move just to be second fiddle to Buffon.
  21. As a goalkeeper, I'm used to being left in the dark as strikers and midfielders take all the glory. It is much the same not only at Chelsea but all across the football world - the efforts of the man between the post are much-maligned and in my opinion, unfairly criticised. With so many people focusing on the Premier League Goal of the Season, and with Chelsea's Goal of the Season award recently given to Juliano Belletti, I felt it only fair for our goalkeeping triumvirate of Cech, Cudicini and Hilario to have their efforts recognised. Saves of the Season 2007/08 Petr CECH vs Manchester United Wayne Rooney shrugged off Tal Ben Haim before launching a goalbound effort towards the top corner. Cech, at least six yards off his line, threw his frame to magnificently fist the ball over the crossbar, improbably denying a splendid effort. Petr CECH vs Middlesbrough O'Neill's whipped cross was met by the head of Mido, whose glancing effort was excellently tipped away by the Chelsea goalkeeper. Henrique HILARIO vs Blackburn Replacing the injured Petr Cech on 64 minutes, Hilario's first contribution to the match was a nervous punch, but he redeemed himself moments later by superbly tipping away a corner-bound header from Santa Cruz Petr CECH vs Everton With Chelsea 1-0 up, Everton were desperate for a lifeline to reach the League Cup Final. Andrew Johnson's powerful nearpost strike look destined for the top corner but Cech came up trumps, powerfully fisting over. Carlo CUDICINI vs Tottenham Hotspur After Spurs had battled back from 3-1 down to level 4-4, the home side had a glorious chance to win the game when Dimitar Berbatov shrugged off his marker. Earning himself a yard of space, the Bulgarian fired a powerful strike goalbound, only for Cudicini to incredibly deny him with a fingertip save. Petr CECH vs Liverpool Steven Gerrard's clever headed ball found Dirk Kuyt unmarked and the Dutchman's instinctive effort was well hit, only to see it brilliantly saved by the legs of the stretching Czech goalkeeper. Petr CECH vs Manchester United After brilliantly denying Tevez from close range, the Czech was quick to his feet to deny Michael Carrick's effort, fisting the ball over the crossbar. My vote goes to Carlo against Spurs. Unbelievable save.
  22. Thats a very fair point. One could argue he inherited a strong squad but he would do the same at Chelsea.
  23. Alex 33 for me. My name is Alex and I like the player. Perfect
